Well...I really haven't taker her on the interstate much at all to worry about the MPG's. She was kinda beat on when I got her and with the 31's I was getting about 15 at best. The tranny isn't the greatest either. If I recall correctly I was getting about 10 with the 35's and around 12 with the 33's. Keep this in mind, I live in a very hilly area and it has the exhaust of a 22re on it (like that when I got it) so it's not running as it should. I think you should get about 15 with the 33's.

So I just got a pair of OME 863 LC coils for a pretty good price... Was wondering if someone with experience with LC coils has noticed a difference in height because of the different spring lengths? And how much lift will I net with the OME 863 (HD) LC coils? I am looking for approximately 4-5" of lift in the back...

so i have a 90 4runner what would 1" 4crawler lift look like with bj spacers and 80 cruiser coils? and could i do it without messing with brake lines or any of that stuff?

So I have a 90 4runner all stock, I want to get about a 2 or 3 in lift but don't wanna mess with all the radiator and stuff what should I do?

Also both my CV boots are busted how hard are these to replace?

Body lift will generally not affect brake hose lengths, etc.:

Why? Brake hoses pass from the frame to the axles. Body lift raises the body off the frame. Only thing you may need to do is help uncoil the brake hard lines up front where they drop down to the frame:

Might have to get a longer rear brake line. I did 2" HD Downey coils out back and needed a longer rear line. I went with a SkyJacker braided stainless line. Much better now. I think the cruiser coils are even taller than 2".

I just ordered 2.5" rear coil spacers to put on top of my sagging coils. Was this a bad idea? Are they going to pop out on me randomly? I only bought the spacers, no new shocks or steering dampener or ball joint spacers. Will cranking the torsion bars suffice for lift of the front?

IIRC the spacers limit the coils when compressed. The spacers will limit the travel and not improve the ride. If you are just looking to raise the rear and you don't do anything crazy off road I think you should be alright. The only reason the spacers should pop out is if your shocks are too long and allow for too much travel.
Im no expert by any means but I did a little research before I decided to go with the LC coils and I just remember there being a lot of people regretting their decision to get the spacers (for reasons like going over bumps and the 4runner bottoming out because the coils had become weak and too compressed). The ride isn't all that great with the torsion bars tightened up either.

Yes, you can do it without having to mess with the brake lines.

So I have a 90 4runner all stock, I want to get about a 2 or 3 in lift but don't wanna mess with all the radiator and stuff what should I do?

The radiator is probably the easiest part of body lift. They are just 4 little pieces of metal with a bolt in them that screw into the stock holes and lower your radiator 2-3 inches (depending on which you choose). If you have a 4x4 4runner you NEED to get the transfer case linkage extension (another easy install) or you can just fabricate something. With my 2" BL it came just about a 1/4" too short. Just enough to not let it slide into H2.

Also both my CV boots are busted how hard are these to replace?
They are not hard to change at all. There are several write ups that will walk you right through it. Just make sure you have all the right tools before you start taking stuff apart ;0)...Dont ask how I know...
Bottom line, a 3" body lift is about as tall as you can go without having to modify the harder things. IIRC even a 3" requires the steering column spacer...So I would recommend a 2" body lift. OOOOOOORRRRRR, Just go with Land Cruiser coils and Ball Joint spacers. I think that would look better than just the body lift IMHO...Or both ;0)

Just for clarification, the 80 series Land Cruisers were available in the US from 1991-1997 model years (actual manufacturing dates IIRC 1990-1998). FJ80=91-92, FZJ80=93-97; Lexus LX450=95-97 and is mechanically identical to the 95-97 80 series.

LR coil: 447mm, RR coil: 458.5mm

Can some body clarify this because that fj80 model stretches from 1990 to 1997 if I did my research right, now which set of coils are we suppose to be looking for?
I took a peak in my Toyota EPC under the USA-market section and it returned the following different rear spring descriptions, each with a separate part number in addition to the left/right part numbers:

    [YYMM-YYMM date of manufacture format]
    9001-9208 FJ80
    9001-9208 FJ80 w/aluminum wheels
    9001-9208 FJ80 w/towing package and aluminum wheels
    9311-9408 FZJ80 w/3rd row seat
    9408-9501 FZJ80
    9408-9501 FZJ80
    9208-9507 FZJ80
9501-9507 FZJ80 H=452.5 [I assume referring to height in mm]
    9501-9801 FZJ80
    9501-9801 FZJ80 w/3rd row seat

There are two part numbers for each of the above descriptors, one for RH and one for LH side.

This lengthy list may seem confusing, but virtually all of the Land Cruisers imported to the USA were equipped with third row seats, alloy wheels and tow packages, so there are really only about three different options that a person will find.

If I had to hazard a guess, the FJ80 w/towing package *might* net the most lift, as my old FJ80 w/3rd row & towing package definitely had a higher ride height and stiffer ride than either my 97 FZJ80 w/3rd row or 96 FZJ80 sans 3rd row.
Hopefully this helps you navigate the options at the bone yard.

I found a pretty cheap lift kit for what I thought was a pretty good price. I got a 3 1/2" lift from stock level for my 92' 4Runna'. Most of it was used but are still in pretty good shape.

    - USED: OME front & rear Suspension shocks $150
    - USED: OME 3 1/2" Rear Coild springs $60
    - New: OME Steering Stabilizer shock $75

So thats $285 all together, Just gotta' look around for good deals if you wanna find something for cheap.

What a big difference to the kind of ride you get after you swap everything, Mine is a bit stiffer though because I did end up jacking my stock T-bars up an inch or two. I sure noticed a HUSE difference in my steering once I swapped the steering stabilizer shock and comparing the stock shock to the new one, lets just say the new stabilizer shock made the old one look like a twig.

This is what my rig looks like after all said and done with the kit in.

2.5" Rear Coil Spacers I ordered online from Bob's Garage or something like that.
I rented a spring compressor from O'Reilly's and the install was easy; took about 4 working hours. I cranked the torsion bars up as well. No shocks, no brake line, no drop bracket, everything stock. Worked out well
