If you want to get fancy with the shocks and have more options, you can do this:

Here is a list of shock sizes per lift:

Here is some info to read up on before proceeding:

I don't know if you have noticed but that link is for the 4th gen trucks and the third gen 4runners, we are on the 2nd gen site.

Did some research for these coils and I now have to different sets to look for, for the fj80 series, I called around the local salvage yard here and this is what they all have told that there are two different heights.

LR coil: 476mm, RR coil: 464mm
LR coil: 447mm, RR coil: 458.5mm

Can some body clarify this because that fj80 model stretches from 1990 to 1997 if I did my research right, now which set of coils are we suppose to be looking for?

I realize that but the list of what you need is still very similar.

probably not, put the longer one under the side with the gas tank.

oh yeah it's possible they are the same length, just most some are taller. Check this literature to see some more info about the cruiser coils.

yeah 99 percent of kits wont work on 4runners with auto and power steering. i have a 90 4runner man trans and the 3-4" body lift kits are as cheap as 85 bucks......

Ok so I bought 80 series coil springs for the rear of my 92 4runner and i have 1.5" BJ spacers. My question is what shocks should I get I have no idea if I should go for the 4 inch travel for the front and rear. What do you guys think?

the thread was for information , if you don't want to add to it keep your mouth shut , sometimes searching doesn't help , that's why there was a question , for help , thats what the forum is for . no wonder people hate searching on this site , people wanna be jerkoffs .

anyway , i lifted my 95 runner , with LC FJ80 rear coils , and am lifting the front with 1.5" bj spacers from SDORI , i added a 26" extended brake line from ALL PRO off road. and 0-4" hydro shocks from ROUGH COUNTRY but i am getting rid of the shocks . all together i spent about $300 with out adding tires, with tires 900 labor cost me a cost me a case of beer.
