Don't know if this will work or not, but I just ordered http://www.autozone.com/motor-oil-an...t-/186722_0_0/
Castrol synblend 5w30 for $1 a qt, free shipping and $25 GIFTME gift card (purchase over $100 for the gift card). Changing the oil in 6 vehicles, at least some of them can use it.
Waiting to see if they'll honor the deal...
Sweet if they do! Looks like you may have caught a nice typo for big savings.

Found the deal because ultimatt posted it on t4r- credit goes in that direction.
I just checked again, it's now saying out of stock when I try to add it to my cart. Didn't want more, was just curious.
Well, not so much love from the 'Zone. They cancelled my order (and many others). They did say they were sending a $20 gift card as a sort of apology.
I think I would have rather had the oil and $25 gift card but oh well, 20 will spend and that's more than I started with.
Also amused by Fed-Ex this week. Ordered a coat, was supposed to get it last Friday. It went from Maine to Connecticut to Ohio to Connecticut to Ohio to Illinois and finally, finally on Tuesday it went to....MY NEIGHBOR'S HOUSE.
He called me and I walked over and got it.
One well-traveled coat!
I'm guessing it's not a good time of year to be a Fed-Ex driver!
Other than that it's been all Science Fair all the time. Project is not cooperating, either. I've not gotten a chance to wire my underhood light up yet, either.
Hope all is well and Merry for all of you and that holidays bring all the warmth and happiness you can handle, plus a little extra!
Bummer to hear millball, but agree about that sharp stick.
How to open the fuel door if your cable snaps:
Take off rear left cargo area panel (remove sill trim (obvious screws, pop off), trim that has the cargo area light in it (4 screws under light cover, pop off), left rear seatbelt bolt, cover between cargo area and rear passenger door sill (pops off, may have to remove that door sill too), cargo cover trim (2 pieces, 3 screws), cargo area panel (1 screw near hatch at top, pops off). You'll see:
Right above the wheel well you can see the release mechanism for the fuel filler door. Simply push the top part in.
Nothing wrong with mine, I was just in there for another project and got curious.
This year it was the Domestic Box Of Mystery. And I wasn't allowed to peek!!!
FINALLY! I got to peek!!!
So what I'm thinking is here, raised up a bit though:
And would like to take a piece out of this support maybe:
if I decide it's un-supporty enough to handle some missing part, or if I can reinforce it differently.
I'm also thinking a desktop fan or two that switch on when the compressor does.
Time to do some reading and studying. EXCITED me is EXCITED!
We did spend after Christmas out in the woods and the hubby gave the 99 a new super-pin-stripey look. Ol' blue got left behind for that one. As bad as the 99 got it, I can't say I'm minding all that much.
The wrong truck:
During that same trip backpacking 4 days in Hercules Glades was nice. Not many people around, pretty scenery.
That orange thing on the back of my pack is the dog's sleeping bag.
I'm okay with the oil thing. Getting $20 for not buying something will do okay. It's no smokin' deal, but as millball said, it's no pointy stick to the eye either.
Woohoo on your holiday backpacking trip. Looks chilly....I spy gloves.
I got out on the skinny boards New Years Day...good snow, moderate crowds. Surgery area gave no problems. All is good!
Hi ya! lol....I'm getting depressed. It's been a week of above freezing temperatures at the ski resorts. This temperature inversion can go bye-bye anytime now. Oh, well, it gave me time to break out the winter steelhead fishy rod...so far, no catchy.
Suppose you nearly had the Glades to yourselves or where there other hardy backpackers out there?
3 groups of hikers total over the 4 days, no backpackers. It was great!
You can have our way cold weather of the past week, let's trade. I can't get anything done on the truck. Too wimpy for cold! Today it's raining and just above freezing. Too wimpy to stand out in the rain.
Things are supposedly going to ice up so I bailed on a wheeling trip. Didn't want to chance the roads.
We did get a chance to work on the Berryman trail some more on Saturday, but it was a hard road for us. Seriously, the ground was frozen 8" deep in some places.
Fishing doesn't seem like a bad replacement for skiing, other than the shortness of your favorite season. Sorry to hear those bucketheaded trout evading the fly.
No flies for me....jigs and bobbers, drifting yarn balls, or other silly fishing looking things.
Yup, late snows and early springs have nearly killed the past 4 ski seasons.
39 and rain here at the house today. I saw your cold temps.....brrrr!
Out of a GM suburban or something like that, has a weight instead of mercury. Hardest part was cutting the holes for the light. That and trying to solder in 50 degree weather.
Still working on configuring the on-board air. Compressor first. Today I looked all over to find the best spot. Engine bay to hot/dirty. Underneath too exposed/dirty. Inside...
here?
This side has the cubby. It does fit nicely and I could leave the door open when it's running for air flow.
Cubby detached from panel...
OR
This side?
much less room but get to keep cubby for stuff. Will require much more work to get it to fit...
Being a glutton for punishment I am thinking left side. Found a shelf bracket in the basement, hubby cut it down for me. Made a cardboard template to figure out how to attach the compressor to the bracket. Thinking some sort of thinnish perforated metal plate for air flow.
Just bracket and compressor
I'm gonna try to figure out a door in the panel and also a computer fan or two that can run when it's on.
I know it's about as far from the battery as it can get so I'm thinking a positive bus bar somewhere nearby.I want to put an anderson connector at the rear too, for the portable winch that will someday happen (hah), so a bus bar could be useful.
Any comments, tips, tricks, suggestions and whatnot appreciated!
