That ought to be fun!!! I thought it was kool when I went down there last time.

Pulled out the plasma cutter to cut out the pass side door fillers. It was awesome. I will never go back to air shears again hahahaha. Will have pics up later

I started a few small nonesense projects while I wait for either one of my heads to show up. I am having one machined and I am still waiting on that one from Cali.
But I started making a shifter know out of a Magpul MOE
The lighter green one on the right

I also put a bottle opener on the glove box (for those Mexican Cokes that I love so much)
Like this one.

Then I cut up some of my bumper with the plasma cutter. God I love that thing. I am going to go a different route of building it. It didnt work out the way I wanted it.
These things (circled in green)

I now have a 82 4x4, i've wanted one since i was a kid. best part is its in beautiful condition. still all original dash, no cracks bla, bla, bla. lol

Chef: Thanks!
OOTA: Definitly custom hahaha

I got the head in from california today. Looks good. It acquired some damage in transit though. Nothin too terribly bad I dont think. One of the intake studs got snapped off and there is some what I will call "road rash" on the front part of the casting. Other than that it seems tight and looks pretty dang good. I will throw a straight edge and a feeler guage on it tomorrow and check it for warpage that it mighta got when they damaged the rest of it. Fingers crossed for ok stuff though. Will keep all updated.
Also, had some good ol American fun tonight! Went and saw Ted Nugent live and it was pretty much the best live show Ive ever seen.

USPS. It looks like they mighta thrown it around . What ever they did the box was torn wide open and they had to "repackage" it. There was a not on the box that I could make a claim for damages, which I will be doing. I cant believe the way people treat others goods. It happens all of the time. If only they slowd down and took some pride into their job.

Ted is definitly my 2nd amendment hero. Every chance he got last night he would say "You cant do this in France you cant do this in Canada and you sure as hell cant do this in California!!" He had some of his M16s on stage with him, bashed the White House. It was a good ol all American, Right Wing night!!!!
They even did this at the end of the show. It was pretty awesome!!

Got a new set of Felpro head bolts, a new Felpro head gasket and an intake gasket. I wanted to get ARP head studs but the were $149 and I dont have that kinda cash haha. Then I looked at Factory Toyota and they were gonna be like $90. So I went with the aftermarket ones for $36. Call me cheap but I just dont have it lol.

I havnt had a problem with a Felpro gasket yet. Thats what I use always. I checked the straight edge on the head and its warped. Oh well. Least I have a spare for the other motor. Just waitin for the call back from the machine shop for the for sure good one. Itll be cuttin close for the Jambo but I might make it.

I have been lookin at gettin this for a while now and I really want it. Its been sittin in a field for 9 years. Its an auto but has EFI and is 84/85. Looks like pretty minimal rust. The only thing that will be hard about gettin it is the owner is either in prison or just out of prison and is hard to get ahold of. Pleast excuse my cell pics

Telephone rang today.... it was the machine shop..... they had some good news..... head is ready!!! I ask how late they will be there, she says 5. I look up at the clock, it reads 10 till 4. I say I am on my way. I think to myself 60 miles doin 55 to the city and 65 to 75 the rest of the way. Can I do it? I think so!!!! I got there with 5 minutes to spare.

They took 15 thousandths off before it was straight flat again. They did all new valve guides and seals and replaced the bent valves. All said and done $237 even. The only thing I have to do before fire up is coolant.
