i wanted to, but the price was a lot (for me, anyway). then i had to do the timing chain guide, so there went any money for propane. i just checked the other day, and found that the price of the kit had gone down, so now it's actually somewhat reasonable, so i'm thinking about it again. maybe.

well, the fuel costs are about the same, just a bit cheaper on the propane side. it would take me a while to earn back the costs. the main thing, though, is extended range. i can get 360+ right now, but with the addition of 'pane, ~600, which is a week and half of driving for me. this is my dd, so i'm more interested in the fuel-saving aspects.
for what you want to do, it's perfect. no spilling of gas, no stalls on steep grades, no stale fuel. great for crawling.

hey zach you still goin up wheeling next week? im pickin up my front shaft tomorrow. i just read through your build thread and wow i cant believe how much engine trouble you have had. i built my first 22re for 650.00 parts and machine work with new pistons, rings, bearings, wrist pin bushings, line boring, turning the crank, resizing the rods, decking the block, and a full gasket kit through gun automotive.
but let me know if you are still planning a trip and what day to see if i work or not.
