X2 on the Spring Packs. Looks like the kidney buster suspension I had on my 76 Highboy pickup back in the day.

I love the quality of work that you have put into your runner. Seriously one of the nicest if not the nicest ones around.

I really don't know what it goes to. I checked the pix i took of my locker and gears and it is obviously not chipping off any of those parts. I've been driving it around all day yesterday and today and it drives out fine. I just hope it wasn't anything bad.

Could be a piece of the baffle... The inner one that the axle last goes through b4 entering the carrier. I'm sure u got a good look at the front outer one when doing the seals?

Jay will likely know.... I'll show him the pix tomorrow when I over threre if you want.

I was just messing with the spring pack. It's how they make super flexy springs and still be able to maintain a certain ride height. Just look at Deaver springs made mainly for pre runners. They have monster 10 leaf spring packs or more but super flexy

That is an odd metal with a hole drilled into it. Only thing I could think of would be from the locker as nothing else I could think of would have a metal with a hole in it

Finding metal like that is always scary. Hope it isnt something that can turn into a major problem. It does look like a shim, but I dont know gear very well and what all is involved with them.

Hey william bringing our conversation to this thread.

Just to catch you guys all up. Yesterday my girlfriend Faby caught a suspicious guy looking in her truck through her windows. And when she confronted him he got all nervous. But just tried playing it off like a conversation piece by saying, "oh I was just looking, I've never seen inside one of these before." Faby just ignored the guy and she got into her truck and locked the doors. Avoiding to turn on the truck till the guy left the area where she was parked. (I'm assuming he wanted to see how the truck sounded) once he moved along she says she saw him looking into other cars on the block.

I got pissed off to hear that but also nervous for her well being as well for he hard earned and well deserved truck. If there's anyone that deserves a car in this world It is her for being so kind hearted and going through everything she has gone through in her life. So I told her I plan to buy her some pepper spray, and buy her a club and pedal lock. Now I know all that is a pain in the a$s to take off but hey if it keeps her truck safe then the hell with itm that's one sacrifice well worth while. Talked to william about kill switches and this is what we left off with.

I freekin hate A-Holes to take advantage of peoples hard earned property just because they are too damn lazy to make a proper living and earn it their selves. Urghhh I was so pissed off. As well as her too.
Kill switches and wheel/ pedal locks are definitely something I have In store for both our rigs in the near future.

Kill-Switches, definitely

Sorry to hear about Faby's experience. Commercial alarms have already been figured out by thieves, so yeah - Kill switches definitely.. It doesn't take too much time to install them they require no batteries, you can install several, and those should be enough to urge thieves to move on to someone else's shiny Escalade =D

That's what I keep hearing. But I honestly don't know how to tap into the wires and which wires are the correct ones to tap into.

Sent an email to Eric with YotaMasters this mornong about that metal chip I found attached to my drain plug. I asked if he had an idea of what it could be and this is what he replied to me.
------------------------------------------

Hey Richard. It looks to me to be a piece of one of the thrust washers from
the stock diff carrier (the part the spartan goes into) I would recommend
pulling that diff out and bringing it in so we can take a look at it.

Darn I was really looking forward to that Big Bear off road trip this weekend. Dont look like that'll happen. But all for the better. Better get it fixed right now before I really mess something up. Or damage my locker and or ring & pinion.

Richard, I'm really sorry that you have to pull that! But it's a good thing that you called! .... I'm heading there today, sure wish I had that diff to drop off for ya! ...I will get the switch though!

So sickened to hear about Faby's close call! Tell her to never approach her car when there is someone lurking...EVER! Pepper spray is good... SIG SAUER even better! But the best thing is to avoid it, altogether, every time! You never know what they want or what they're wants might escalate to once they see her... So it's always best for any woman or even man to stay the hell away until the cops show up or, otherwise,...... till everything becomes safe. She did right! A Taser isn't a bad idea either!

Another thing you can do is set off the alarm while they are standing there.....

Last night, I chased off a man that had looked up the side of my house to that gate,... Remember my tires are back there? Exactly! Not even worth it still... So I yelled out the window, my 9 millimeter is locked and loaded, I suggest you get the hell out of here , and then I heard rapid footsteps to a car that I got the license plate off. Unfortunately, the car was stolen, so there will likely be no apprehension of this moron! Second amendment rights or not, it is always best to avoid any confrontation as you never know if the morons have pepper spray or chloroform or a taser or a firearm of their own. I'm sorry for rambling, it's just that I've seen so many situations go from bad to worse when people react while in a panic @ any level.

dang it on the 3rd BAD 3rd your not supposed to do that!

as for the kill switch that one will cut 2 circuts so just going like its mine
you find the main power line heading for the fuel pump from either the main fuse panel in the engine bay (good) OR inside the truck (better) cut the line try to run truck with no fuel no go? GOOD! run wire to switch in its now chosen hidden spot (i was thinking ya could even hide a push button type UNDER the shift boot near a corner
then out to the positive line of the coil you'd have to unwrap the harness a bit you want your mod hidden cut the line an run 2 wires inside to your switch re-wrap the harness an reconnect the + hook the wires up to the other side of the switch

connect the wires across the switch turn on start truck WINprofit an WOOT yes its not a quick fix but its not easy to find if you hide the switch really well an auto thieves are after a quick grab not investigation

A simple security system woud be a master disconnect under the hood. It attaches to positive post on batt and uses a threaded knob that you simply turn.Only downfall is that you have to pop the hood everytime you want to start it. We use them on equipment that drains batterys from paracidic draw. They are about $12 from napa.Or get a bada$$ viper system for about $500.

X2 on the Battery disconnect. They work great. I have had vehicles in the past that we installed kill switches tied into the ign system that would kill the vehicle and not start. Works great either way you go
