Looks like things are moving along nicely. It is always nice to have the other half giving you a hand and she will be more understanding when the parts list grows or another item is needed when she can see for herself. Looking good.
Tuef...Owwie!!! That made my finger hurt. Hope it heals up well.

And here's how the knuckles came out once they dried.

Definitely gotta say I think I did a swell job and doing these. This was probably the dirtiest part of the whole axle.
Today i greased up the knuckle bearings then my neighbor and I installed the knucle rings, bearings, and seals. We only did one. And I didn't take any pix. So ill try to take a bunch for you guys tomorrow when I do the passenger side.
these babies are coming together very nicely! I can see it already. Once this axle is done ita gonna look extremely clean. Too bad its gonna be the cleanest most new looking thing on my truck lol

Thank you man probably gonna have them powder coated in the future. These hubs won't last with that paint job for very long with rocks and off road trips.
Dude today I began to run toward the end of my work table to save my hub from falling and in that motion I slammed my pinky toe into the old metal rotors I had on the floor. And wtf...... first time I ever wear sandals in over 3 years and what happens? This happens! What rotten luck. It Instantly swelled up and nail went blue. Damn. Thats the last time I ever wear those again. Lesson learned.
I would if I could let me know if u know anybody who can pull off the job for me. Lol

What got done today.

Nicely greased

Then goes the bearing and seal

New axle seals for where the birfields go in.

Make sure to grease before trying to install.

Now inside

Removed and installed the new bearing seats. (I think that's the name. Just guessing at it lol) again make sure to grease before u install. And use a block of wood to it on to get it inside.

And in case you're wondering what kind of bearings come in the MarlinCrawler kit these are them. Yulon Gears FTW!!!

All put together nicely

What a transformation. I still can't believe this is what they used to look like.

I think I've done a great resto job on these.
And I even got time in to grind my shackles and prime them then paint black which I did not get a picture of.

Once again thanks for keeping up guys. Will be working on taking apart the Aisin hubs tomorrow to grease up. Ill post some shots of that tomorrow as well.

Looks really good! Amazing work Richard!
Only one question, why did you use that ugly bearing grease?! haahaa
thought you were going to use that red stuff. Looks like you took the old grease and saved it, then put it back in!! ahahahahaha

Seriously! I sure hope so. They way I see my truck in my head is gonna be really awesome! I am still wanting one of those cbi bumpers. But that's another mod for the future. I first gotta look into getting a rear tire holder because after i upgrade to 33's my tire isn't gonna fit under my truck anymore. And I use my bed a lot!
I did want to use the red grease we all spoke about. But nobody had it. I tried AutoZone, o'Reilly, and last was pepboys. I just got the 2nd best. I was impatient cuz I wanted to start geasing stuff up. Not to mention start on the SAS already. Been really axious. This grease is really good too though. Just not red lol
Lol that's the same expression my mom used.
I look forward to reading up on your updates man! You'll do great

Here is my new to me set of off road tires. 6 BFGoodrich Mud-Terrains 33/12.5/15. Woooooot wooooot. Courtesy of my neighbour and his son. Since they ride on 35's now they don't have any need for these 33's. One man's storage is another man's tresure.
Btw they all have a lot of tread left over. And they included 3 black steelie d ring rims. Just gotta go buy another 2 and i'll have a set. At least till I'm able to find me a set of outlaw 2s. Maybe.

Finally finished greasing my Aisin hubs. All I need now is to install them once I get that 3rd back.

Btw guys just wanted to let you know all know the good news. We took my 4Runner into my neighbours yard today. THE TIME HAS COME! Yeeeehawwwww! ToyotaMasters called me up and said my front 3rd member is done. So today we removed my rear 3rd. Just to have it ready. I go pick up the front 3rd this weekend. And ill just drop off my rear one when I pick up the front one.
Tomorrow we are supposed to be taking apart the front end. Or at least what we can be unbolted from the front end. And saturday and sunday we begin hacking off the IFS.
I'm sorry guys but I didn't get any pix of what we did. But not much to seem all that happened was that we took out the 3rd and tied up the rear drive shaft with a string. Nothing else yet. Ill try to take a lot of pictures of everything we do.
Thanks again for dropping in!
