It's pretty bright and I have pictures on the second to last page of my build thread. I don't wanna post it on rich build page.

It's a 13.5 inch bar and around $200. It's by "lifetime led" comes with lifetime warranty

Thank you man. After having bad luck with the electrical field job with lay offs, then trouble getting into college, then dealing with the crap here in my current job i think its time for me to just go for it ya know? I need this to happen. I aint gettin' any younger. and by the time im finished with school i will be just under 27years old. so this is something i need to work out for me.

Oh god YES! I am definitely planning on doing some fun 1 day'er trips here and there. i would love to do a 3 day camping trip sometime before my school starts. so i look forward to that. Also happy that this bumper will be done soon. This is one of the main things other then the SAS/lift and tire carrier that i have been wanting from the very start of my thread. lol so glad its coming together finally.

Thank you toyo. This one should be fine. I was just curious to see how it sat under your grill. Looks like we got my bumper done right now thanks to this picture. thanks. Maybe you could provide me with more info on how your bumper is supported on the sides of the bumper. does it weld to the frame close to the wheelwell? or does it mount to the bumper winch plate?

Both good decisions, Richard. Best to get most of school out of the way while you're young and unattached. Once you have dependents and family that demand more of your time, and that you have to support, it would be more difficult to focus on school. Like the other say, your trucks already got all the essentials for trips anytime you get some slack from school so you're good to go. Everything else can wait.

Just one thing more you... you should check reviews and reputation of that school among prospective employers. Also, be aware that associates degrees from certain private schools may not be accredited by Cal State or UC's for bachelor's/masters degree,. Therefore, to finish a bachelor's or masters, you'd have to go back to those same private schools.

Best wishes, Dude!
Dude this is my exact thought! I am free right now. i dont have anybody to hold me back. and the only family i have at the moment are the ones who are gonna support me while im going to school so im truly grateful to have these people in my life to help me out like this.

As for transferable credit goes... Yes when i am done i will have an associates degree. and it will be valid at colleges if i wanted to further my education more from surgical tech to possibly surgeon. ooooo man i can see it already. lol

Also take a look on EBay. I'm sure Toyotech's light bar is good. Just saying you can get some bigger ones through ebay as well for pretty cheap. Especially if you win it cheap through auction like Chefyota did for his. He got a 20" light for something like $120 just by bidding on it.

My 2 circle flood lights that i plan to incorporate into my bumper are both 42w at 2090lumens each. I tested one out on my car about 3 weeks ago during the pitch black night and WOW that thing is crazy bright! I can only imagine how bright x2 will be haha! Looking forward to getting those lights in!

Alright guys now we are getting somewhere!

I went ahead and checked my front grill and it seems to be centered vertically, but horizontally it isn't. Check it out.

3/8's gap on the Driver side.

and the grill is right up against the light on the passenger side.

One reason my bumper was off was because the top screw holes that mount the bumper(circled) we off. Apparently the truck had to have been in a minor car accident on the front end because the those 2 tabs were both pushed off to the driver side a few millimeters.

Also bought a 4" grinder wheel and rounded out those torched edges and made nice n smooth. still have a bit more to go but it cleaned up a heck of a lot.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So RBX gave me an idea. he mentioned that the trailgear winch plate should be adjustable. and although it is. it wasnt adjustable enough. So we had to add our own holes 0.5" above the bottom hole and move the 2 tabs up 0.5" too.
Here we torched off the tabs

aligning with the newly drilled holes

tab is tack welded on and im pointing to the new hole.

As for the nasty slope on both sides goes. I told my dad i wanted to straighten it out and make it level because RBX had me thinking. YES ITS TRUE, I'm definitely going to look at that every time i see my truck and wish i would have fixed it when i had the chance. So This is exactly why i chose to drop the entire bumper 1/2" and the bring up the sides again.
Here is my dad using the Acetylene torch to remove the sides again so we could grind down and then we weld.

We re did the tack welds and adjusted the bumper perfectly to my truck. Now we fit the grill and wont need to trim the whole bottom of it like i had planned before. definitely happy about that. The sides still had to be sloped a tad bit. but very minimal; im talking about less then 1/4" maybe about 1/8" or so. either way. This looks a hell of alot better then what it was sitting at before.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alright gentlemen here is some extra progress to my bumper!

We made the welds on the tabs final now that we knew they fit.

And we fully welded the front side of the bumper as well because now it sits perfectly while still having access to the grill in case i ever needed to remove it.

Look at that sexy bumper! oh yea!

take a tape measure and measure from the front fender bolt driverside to the rear fender bolt passenger side under the hood. then do the opposite to the other side...are they within an 1/8"? your front end may be moved over, but just the sheetmetal. Also, look at the core-support behind and under the headlights with the grill off, do they look the same? If you pull or push the sheetmetal below the marker light and headlight, that gap will change with just a little movement.

Great job. Sometimes one must go sideways or backwards before going forward. Good luck in school. I did it, anyone can do it.

Copy and paste off my Bumper thread:

Didn't get much done this week. Had to go back to Mexico for my follow up appointment for the dentist so I didn't do anything yesterday. This morning I realized I had a lot of surface rust throughout the bumper. So I took the grinder wheel to the whole bumper and cleaned it up again to prep for new welds.
Nice n clean:

I tack welded the side corner pieces.

Time for fitment! I think it is looking great!

Here is my favorite shot.
Name: 20131013_143650_zpseb131add.jpg

I need to pull that passenger corner piece about 1/4" to make even.

Other shots.
You can see right here in this shot that the bumper sides go up and touch the bottom part of the fender. So I need to grind off the tack welds and re weld it tighter to pull away from the bottom fender then it'll be left perfect.

Just getting caught up on my threads. it feels like its been a week since ive posted.
William. thank you man. I wasnt hoping on it looking like the next apocalypse vehicle lol but it wouldnt be a bad idea getting ready for that lol jk

I do agree both bumpers look like theyre going to compliment each other nicely huh. I think the only thing that i am missing is a CB radio. then i'll be ready to go out exploring without getting worried of getting stranded with no help at all!

Got some decent progress in today guys. We cut off some of the tack welds. and re adjusted the corner pieces. Now it sits exactly where i want it.
I know the picture codes arent working from photobucket due to lack of bandwidth. I'm still going to upload them anyway for when the bandwidth does kick in. But im also gonna attach the pix to yotatech. Just delete them after my bandwidth resets i guess.

Here are the pix of the fixed sides/corners of the bumper.

Driver side doesnt rub the fender anymore.

Passenger side isnt rubbing either

We added the reinforcement that i wanted to the center part of the bumper. Here is the first shot i took.

Here is the full view of the back of my bumper. Both center reinforcements finished.

After this picture was taken we did all the final welds throughout the entire bumper. and silly me forgot to take pictures lol But the entire bumper finally got the full welds. The only thing it is still missing is to add 2 circle or square tube from the corner pieces of the bumper to the winch plate too support the sides. I also began grinding some of the welds down to make look nice and neat. but i didnt finish. I'm not sure i'll have time to work on this tomorrow. but we will see. im crossing my fingers and hoping i at least get 3 hours of grinding in.

Sounds like you are having some good luck and bad luck. Sorry to hear about the breakup. Some of the pictures are showing right now as I was going back and getting caught up on your thread. I don't know if your Photobucket is not working at this time or something.

Glad to hear you are getting back in to school and can get that wrapped up as soon as possible. Do it while you are still young as it gets harder the older you get.

Alright guys I have a quick update before i head to bed.

Today i spent approx 3 hours grinding down all my exterior welds and sanding down all the exterior surfaces of the bumper.
I KNOW THE PIX WONT WORK TILL MY BANDWIDTH RESETS! Just go ahead and click on the pictures that photobucket replaces my pix with and you will be redirected to my photobucket account where the picture is at.

Terry thanks for checking in man. Good luck seems to be getting better. lol As for the Girl issues go. That it totally fine. The nice blond girl i was going to go out on a date with ended up saying she wasnt interested anymore before our first date ever happened haha. I thought it was funny how she gave me the runaround for 3 weeks before coming clean haha
As for the Faby. We started talking. And things so far seem to be looking bright for us. Since the breakup she has since abandoned the 3 friends that eventually led me to leaving her. She realized she had messed up. and once she didnt have me it was like it hit her like a truck. She left those friends and has nothing to do with them anymore. So that is good. We arent together because i want to make sure i know what im getting into again if i do give it another chance.

As for school. yea im very happy with the choice. Just trying to pay off this bumper project asap and then begin looking for a part time job that would be compatible with my school schedule. Trying to milk all the full time checks i can before school starts lol.
