If you can stand not to have OD, I would put a th350 in it. They seem to be a little smaller and which gives more room.

Found a deal on a old school Downey 2wd th350 to toy adapter. Ill need to get a new coupler as the one that came with it is 21 spline, and my case is 23.

I believe I can get a new 23 spline coupler through AA.

Was having some problems with my winch, when I would use it it would kill all power to the truck. took it apart to find a wire rubber raw, also broke a terminal getting it off. Warn doesnt sell motor parts, but they will sell me a new motor for $350. They also recommended taking it to a starter/alternator shop, which I will try next. If that doesnt pan out, I found generic replacements on line for about $85.

Thanks NV!

As for updates, I havent fixed the winch yet, the old motor is rusted on there and isnt budging, but I have a few more ides before I give up and bring it some where. But I bought a DB electrical replacement motor. Its a china motor, but for $82 shipped to my door ill take that chance.

I believe my fuel pump is dying, which I believe is my poor running/no hot start issue. So a 12 gal fuel cell and a airtex E2000 external 45 psi pump should be here tomorrow, and Im going to get them installed this weekend.

Made a frame to hold the tank and add some more pallet racking out of some 1" square, which allowed me to move my tool box for better access Fuel pump is mounted in the angle iron that was the old tank mount. Still needs some finishing touches, but Works great so far!

It came about 1/2 full of foam blocks, Im sure I could remover it if I needed to but am leaving it for now.

Not going to use a level sensor, just open the cap and look inside.

Had to take the winch completely apart to get the rusted motor out. It was seized into the bearing, which was crunchy sounding too. The DB electric motor came with a new bearing, so it went back together.

]My fiance and I just bought out first house. Nice little 10 acre chunk in Northfield VT. Mostly field but some stuff to play on, and eventually there will be a rock course some where on the property. But what Im most excited for is that for the first time in 5 years, my truck is at where Im living. And I have my own garage. And as soon as I get it set up I can get the truck in and get working on some maintenance issues!

Leaving my folks shop in Royalton, just a short 30 min tow. It will be back in November for a trail ride here.

Made it 10 min into our Dec run and the front r&p let go. The front end bounced and when the spinning wheels hit the ground it was all done. ting ting ting ting.
Walked the rest of the day and then dragged it home to get fixed.

With the first gathering of the season right around the corner, time to get some maintenance done. First is to address the leaky t case.

Some re assembly, but had to stop when I found the splines on the front output were twisted! Oops. Probably happened when the front ring and pinion went last December.
