No leaks! Seem to be holding up well. Quick bath, to get it ready to go back in the shop to address a few things. Motor mounts and engine leaks are first, then I need to change around my front leafsprings, then I can finally finish up the half doors.

Here you can see where the thicker newer Downey (2nd from the bottom) springs arent bending as much as the softer worn 48" spring. Im going to take them out and change them up a bit.

Trail gear makes a kit to do so, or there is a DIY option which I will probably give a shot. I think ill be picking up a top shift with bad gears in it, so I can steal the shift rails off that one.

Thanks for the info and link. I really would love to have a dual case setup in my runner someday.

Since Im not too savvy on this let me ask if you dont mind.

You make the dual case setup out of two forward shift t-cases or a top and a forward? Im still trying to research how to do this.

Dont mind at all! haha. It depends on your transmission. You can use a forward shift if the transmission came with one behind it, if not then you use 2 top shifts. But the rear case must be a top shift, because the shifter must sit on top (not on the crawl box in front of it) And the shift rails cant come through the adapter plate.

Since I need an adapter to get a gear drive case behind my tranny, Ill need 2 top shifts if I go duals.

Ahhhhh ok. Makes sense now. I have a top shift on my runner and another top shift sitting in the shop. I really really would love to do this, as it seems very affordable.

Let me know what your going to do with your front leafs. I just got two pairs of 45'' leaf springs. One is a three leaf, the other is a four leaf. I think it may be just what you need!

Heres the crooked engine, that led me to find the broken motor mount. That and when I hit the gas the shifters went about 2 inches to the passenger side.

Drilled and put a 1/2 inch grade 8 bolt through it, Marlin style. Tightened the nut just enough to close the lock washer.

Thats a 3.5" bolt. You dont have to pull the mount off the engine as long as you can unbolt the rubber part, I did because I didnt know, and it makes it easier to get to the nut. The hole in that engine side mount is already 1/2". But if you do decide to take the mount off, you have to pull the oil filter and dip stuck tube to get it off.

Allllll 3.GO baby. Haha. But really, its the stock 24 year old mount, and the torque from being locked f&r with stock gearing and the 38s was just too much. I wasnt really going easy on it either.
