Smart move with the toyota ball joints. I ordered mine last year, got all four for 250.00 from a toyota dealership!! Put one in last fall (lower driverside), fixed the play over bumps, need to replace the remainders so I am solid. Put an order in for tie ends so I can get them when I do the rest. I had a moog in the garage and compared the two. Toyotas where significanlty heavier! Gives a piece of mind doing 25 or 30 down some fire roads.....other than the wife hitting me yelling "slow down"! lol!

My 94 needs a new gas tank, front brakes, cab corners, driver's rocker panel and the passenger seat is stuck. Good grief. Thank God it isn't my daily driver.

I have an exhaust leak on my 3.slo, Somewhere between the left and right exhaust manifold. Gaskets? Crossover? help? Not that it matters too much, going to be installing thorley headers, dropping the transmission to do shifter bushings from marlin, replacing leaky t-case pinion seals, clutch slave cylinder, and I hope I dont have to replace the HG's...trucks been getting a little warm with these 100*+ days.......Oh yea and the A/C is blowing warm air

If I pull the heads, I have a spare port matched intake manifold (upper & lower) which I've plumed for AWI injection. I'm going to heat wrap the fuel lines near the passenger header, spray in an acoustic barrier and install a thermo barrier where I need it most.

What's wrong with the truck?? Lots of things, but I love it!! Even the 3VZE, I'll do a swap some day or get a newer taco and turn this one into a better TOY.

Funny you say that considering i bought my truck thinking I wouldn't have to fix it, only thing I haven't fixed is the drivetrain which starts and works every morning since I bought it lol, 1) clock went out 2) cv boots tore 3) glove box pops open randomly when I wheel 4) missing interior pieces 5) my 120v plug doesn't work, can't think of anymore

lets see theres
- wreck damage to front clip
-lack of front bumper and grille( also due to wreck)
-no a/c
- belts squeak until i put it in gear
-alignments off
-nail in my front tire
-of coarse the ticking that everyone seems to have
-trans is acting funny and wants to wind the gears out the first time through
-leak around trans dipstick tube
-did i mention alot of front end damage due to a wreck
- headlights wont adjust right
-plus a whole lot more and all thats after i just put on new fanblades, fan shroud, radiator, condenssor, trans cooler, and pulled out alot of bent and twisted metal just to get it back on the road

All and all it still goes like a champ
oh and it takes a few turns before the engine finally turns over
oh thought of something else, no seatbelts, no airbags( just taped the steering wheel and dash)
4wd makes a funny noise(sometimes)
etc.......................

It's a 94 Extra cab. I have an 86 that was going to be the driver, but I figured why go to all of that trouble and not have some interior space. Plus, I'm 6'1'' and 230 pounds, so the more room the better. It also has a tilt column, which is a plus. Just got in from a 60 minute battle with the oil filter. I lost.

I plan on going SAS on the 86 SR5. It's really pretty clean, minus the horrific frame rot. I have a frame that I blasted and painted for a frame swap, but the 94 takes precedence since it isn't too far from being on the road.

Used toyospearos write up for the cv shaft and balljoints. Every thing went pretty smooth.

Make sure you got the right tools. Beer and a big hammer!

I used an extension to keep the pipe from sliding. Put it in the whole on the upper control arm. Then my jack started to slide but I made it work...

I would worry about the brakes way before the horn. For suggestions though there are lots of them. Try a search. The old F150 ones are good.

Hahaha...now that's a sentence.

My power antennae mast broke off when I was wheeling. Other than that, EVERYTHING else works.
