What is broken on YOUR Toyota
#683
-Moonroof wont seal after it's opened, probably a bad motor
-Passenger Sunscreen is missing a screw and is all dangly
- Rear Window makes bad scraping sound when rolling up
- Emergency Brake doesn't work
- Missing both Fog lights
List is small and simple now, but I have a feeling that when I start to change parts and do mods I'll break stuff.

A thunk from my front passenger wheel well when I brake... worse when it's wet. Some small rust all over the body, soon to be fixed with rolled on bed liner/rocker guard.
I have no complaints though, despite all the work in the last 6months. I know I'll only have to do most of this stuff once in a long, long while!

rust under the doors and working its way up the xtracab...plan to rivit in some diomand plate and weld on rock sliders to protect it.
window cranks are broken so you use your hands to put the windows up and down.
weather strip comes off the window track sometimes.
exhaust is exploded
pass side door hand doesnt work on the outside
and thats all besides the some of the bedlights not working, but that was the po's bad wiring job from when he put the flatbed on

Yep, it's the relay!
When I got my yota the rear window was stuck in the down position. First I checked all the fuses then I checked the power to the switches (there is no power to the switches). Next thing was to directly power up the windows motor, (SMOKE....oh no!) wires melted, a mess! OK now time to take the window out of the tailgate, next take the motor out...(zinng ching,) the mechanism springs up and catches a couple fingers. Taped up the wires on the motor and tested it, IT's ALIVE!!!! I put the window back in the tracks and remounted the motor, ran a wire from the battery and a ground near by and presto, I can now roll up my window!

I have a 98 T100 SR5 4x4 3.4L. Two things are broken. The parking brake cable snapped so now it doest work (at least i have Park). Second, It was equipped from factory with the Toyota R-3000 security system. Which broke. But it broke with the locks on, and when the security system is on, you cant unlock the doors till you turn it off. So long story short, i had to have the doors and iginition re-keyed just so i could drive it, and the system removed. So now i have one key for the doors and ignition, and one for the fuel cap.

Wierd, the Dash Clock on my 1998 is original and it has always shined bright and clear, and never looses time. Also, since i have an original Toyota over the rail bedliner, the corners at the end have warped and bow out slightly. I hope to eventually get a rhino liner in there.

my transfer case is demounted from the tranny, and the crossmember bolts are all lose, and theres a jack under the tcase, and another under the tranny...and both driveshaftfs fell off...
but theres a fror twin stick kit sittin on my workbench, so i wouldn't consider it "broken".... i'll call it "in a disfuctioning state of upgrade"

Not sure it's a 'broken' qualifier,..... but THOSE DAYUM ANCHOR ARMS IN MY 87 RUNNER TAILGATE! GRRRR! They make too much noise... Buddy just said, "Put bicycle tire tubes on there, just right and , .....TRUST ME, NOISE 'GONE'!" ...... You know, that's not a bad idea! lol.

Hah - cool thread.
I've got a busted front diff waiting to be replaced with the one on the floor of my garage, the junkyard slushbox is starting to lose reverse, and I think it's about time to replace the contacts in my starter. Other than that, everything is great.
