GO GET'M GIRL! LOL.

Hey, btw, .....just found a replacement block myself. You talking about NEW block, ....as in "New Casting"? OR, .... "replacement" like myself? Just asking, cuz I found a place that has "brand new Japanese Made Block Castings for Toyotas" .... they're not TOO cheap, but then again,.....these can go over a million miles with no issues on the bottom end core if they're kept up and you find nothing wrong in there, ya know?

If everything bolts into yours no problems, and it's never been bored over, .... heck, have IT checked out, first, maybe?

Keep them thumbs up, sista! <<< hahahah.

My 82 does not have a working 5th gear and it has came out of 2nd a couple times. Fuel gauge ,parking brake, charging system works but you have to jump it with 12v ,muffler is full of holes ,but it still runs and drives pretty good.
The 89 4x4 has the head at the machine shop and I did not drive it before buying it, so the rest of the problems are yet to be found.
89 2wd the horn and fresh air lever other than that it is in pretty good shape.

Rear axle seal. Radio quit. Brake master cylinder starting to leak. Bed seam rust. Bottom of tailgate just about rusted thru. Just replaced battery two weeks ago. Windshield cracked.
I still love it.

I used to have a 3.0 auto 4runner, and the problems with that were endless.

But with the 87 4x4 22r, just did a head gasket and new radiator, but I'd like to replace the entire exhaust. At the very least cat and muffler. The carb needs adjusting, the steel thingy below the front bumper is gone, the interior light works sometimes, my speedo works but shakes like hell, the t-case leaks a tiny bit, some rust on the cab and crazy rust on the bed.

Someday, I'll do a steel front bumper and a flatbed. But right now, my tires are great, and it's back to its reliable old self (so far) a week into the new head gasket.

Thinking more about my 94 4runner 3.0 auto, I remembered stuff that was broken that I have long forgotten about:

Side marker lights were out, windshield fluid tank leaked and squirter was broken, idler arm broken, cv joints, 4 wheel drive, engine light, trans o/d light flashed forever, rear window interior control stopped working, power steering leaked, brake booster was out, antennae broken, rear passenger windows were crazy slow, spare tire was stuck until I cut the cable, battery connections were poor, leaked oil, a fork lift had run into the tailgate with one fork leaving a distinct hole (just missed keyhole), paint (or bondo) coming off of roof, and with all that, what did her in was the (rebuilt) tranny wouldn't shift out of first most of the time. I drove on it for a week or two like that, taking smaller roads to work. Once in a while it would shift into second, and I would get happy.

There was so much wrong with that truck. But when it worked, it was a nice truck. My girlfriend liked it (she won't go near my 87 pickup--good and bad on that), the ac worked til the end, and it was a tank in snow. RIP.
