Currently Broken...outer rear axle seal (drivers side) leaking, no cruise control (think its my taillights causing it), starter is beginning to fail, powersteering pump is on its last leg, front differential leaks on passenger side, wicked vibration(believed to be ujoints), ARB does not engage due to leaky air hose(not sure if its in the diff or just the hose), passenger fender smashed to hell, carpets ruined to due partial swamping, winch needs fixing as housing is broke, HIDs don't have hi-beams (wiring issue, not my strong point)

Broke last summer and fixed-
passenger side cv axle (twice), lower ball joint after separating from the spindle, re-manned transmission and used transfer case after a case of exploding planetary inside the transfer, the winch gears ate themselves....

I think thats everything...

My engine leaks oil. I've had the head gasket seal, cam seal, and oil pan seal replaced by toyota certified mechanics who assured me $1500 later that this would fix the problem.

Still the leak persists, but it doesn't seem to affect the performance. Does anyone else have this problem? Any advice would be awesome!

Well, it's semi-not mine anymore (long story), but a 2WD 22R '86 won't charge its battery, even after a new battery and alt.

Sorry, I forgot to mention in there that they also replaced my speedo head. But yeah, I'm pissed that it didn't fix the problem.

I'm not sure about the Rocker Cover Gasket, he told me it was the cam seal. I'm going back there next week to talk to him about it. It's coming from somewhere near the top of my engine.

The engine is a 3.0L EFI V6

The only thing I have ever had to do to my truck is put brakes on it twice in the 9 years that I have owned it. My 4-Runner that I had before that I never did a thing to but beat on it. The transfer case on my Tacoma now has a crack in it which gives me the excuse to buy a new Gen 5 Runner! I can't wait to get the thing...

Front Trans Seal, .....I think.... and probably 3 others, including at least 2 on the T-case...

Hmmmmm, OH, a piece of my block broke off in the timing cover face when removing the cover(The builder put a replacement bolt where the alternator one goes through the t.cover...top right, ...and he must have bottomed it out, w/out the alternator bracket on there.... and it cracked off about an inch diameter and 1/4" deep hole of the block)...... Got replacement block today, ....gonna find out if anything else is fubar in the one I just had rebuilt last year and just took out.... AGAIN! lol.

Dash heater control panel is lookin like crap too(anyone know that site to get them?).

The Temp Control Cable is fubar as well, have to open and shut the gate by hand.

The sunroof/moonroof cover wont stay in w/out wedges, ....falls on my head if I forget em! lol.

Think I'm pretty good other than that............ well, ....we'll see anyway, hahaha.

nothing really broken i guess, but the to-do list this spring:
need to wire inclinometer lights
fuel sending unit needs to be replaced with sr5 version (gauge bounces)
re-paint my rollbar
sand/paint trail damage to prevent rust from spreading
recharge k&n air filter
change gear oil out of t-case and diffs
got about 300 more miles til i change out the oil/break in additives in the new motor

its always something....
