Thanks Mang
It’s been nice going home knowing I’m one step closer to having my questions answered and oil pan sealed up.
. Do I have to pull the tranny to get the pan out or does it pull out the front?
I slapped a jack under the tranny to lift the engine half inch the back side is the hardest to reach. With that extra half inch I can put my whole hand in. Its goona be tight tho depending on how big the silicone bottle is.
. Is there any way to find out how big the oil pan is? Every one thinks I have (20102) is it a 2.2L dono maybe I should try a 2.3? Or if it’s a 2.3 try a 2.4 or if those sizes even exist. Don’t want to pull the tranny if I don’t have to. But maby I have to?
. Broke my right scaphloid (Wrist bone supports thumb in palm) long boarding 6 months ago. when the pavement went from freshly paved to onramp gravel from Madonna Mt. Every thing was going good until I saw headlights coming. I was low but my hands were out like I was flying not grabbing the board holding the board under me. Broke my hand and been stuck with a stupid cast ever since.
. Looked up what caused slow healing, oxidant stress. Oxidants = bad, antioxidants = good There are a lot of fruits, vegetables, and berries that are anti oxidants. I think oxidants are free radicals in the body (they enter blood through breathing, and wounds) dono for sure maby strong smells at work. Or busting knuckles on dirty metal or bone fragments that are healing.

Leaks oil out the valve cover
Leaking diff oil out there rear differential.
Rear window wont roll down with the key or the switch, have to hook up a 12v battery to roll it down, which is a pain in the ass since the weather is getting nicer.
A couple dents one from me and the others from previous owner.
Missing dipstick... getting a new one asap.
other than that all good!

Mine has a rusted out rear bumper, non-working reverse lights, and for some reason when I go about 70 mph for 10 minutes it makes a sudden complete engine misfire and doesn't stop running but I don't know what this is. Can anyone help with the misfire and the reverse lights? Thanks

for the reverse lights check 1 the bulb.. 2 all your conections if your bumper is rusted make sure you have good connection
3 check if your transmission to see if the harness is pluged in..
but that seems like the least of your problems with your misfire

I had the reverse light issue on my 86. There's a switch on the transmission that is often the culprit. I had assumed that with mine and replaced it - it was not the cause. Mine simply turned out to be that the harness feeding the switch had been unplugged.

Yep, I had to pull mine apart(the connectors) and re-solder a bit more wire in there... Someone must have been in my harness before, cuz a COUPLE things are seemingly a 'lil short' in the wiring dept. Now, I have a single reverse light(pass. side) that's intermittent(more off than on), and I have to rap on the lens(which is new, don't wanna do that) to get it to come on... Time 4me2 to dig in there and clean stuff up, eh?

I just bought a 1990 Yota Pickup 4x4 manuel with the 3.0 in it. I have been looking for one for about 2 months and stumbled across this one. It has 192000 on it so I was expecting it to be quite a project.

1)oil leak-i think is coming from the pan gasket? HELP!
2)in great need of shocks-i'm looking at Bilstein 5125s?
3)speedo
4)tail gate latch
5)i just replaced the air filter and spark plugs... i'm pretty sure the plugs were the originals. needless to say it runs great now

Sheared my steering knuckle bolts last week.

backed the studs out with a nut welded to them and she's driving and tracking straight again. but now i'm super nervous about the steering knuckle bolts. Is this a common issue? Or is it only a issue with trucks that have an extended track width like mine?

I went out and replaced them all with 10.9 metric grade bolts but i might step it up to f911 bolts.

Need to put in my timing chain rebuild kit as the chain rattle is getting bad.

Shifter knob feels super loose and has tons of play, not sure how to tighten up the throw...?

I would stop driving it immediately until you get that fixed.

I hate CA smog tests. I'm glad our county only makes you do it when you change the title of the vehicle.

Thanks, guys....

Yeah, Teuf.... I have a new CAT and New Denso 02. Doesn't mean the 02 is without issue..... I doubt it, but it HAS happened, right? lol... I'll be into that testing soon on my "CA Smog Test Failure" thread(and the build of course), soon.

Jburt.... YES, I do as well. However, this thing has passed since 2002 without issues....... UNTIL I REBUILT IT! lol. Of course... the timing was at 5*, not 8* like now... And I might even go down, maybe to even 3* BTDC, to lower the Nox(As per 4Crawler/Rogers instructions). He also said "Many times he's seen techs and owners just replace the Modulator with a new one, even if it MOSTLY functions in the tests...".... I think many people just avoid dishing out the money cuz they find it's "something I can just clean" or "can't spend so much on this thing.... I'll just clean the filter inside the modulator".... Which can OFTEN work... But with mine being 600 over on NOX in the 25MPH test..... I want to cut out as much as possible...

I'll be testing each item in the EGR system individually now(already did all the FSM tests for 'installed and running/vacuum pump and gauge, etc.')... If the modulator fails in any way/or the EGR, it's getting replaced if I remove it and find they're as cleaned out as I think, ya know? The smog techs are telling me that "NOx is almost ALWAYS EGR related!"

I'll be back to notify whether it's brokedededed any longer or not, soon! lol.

Water coming from exhaust pipe, was told that after i had by top end rebuilt 6 months ago, to re-torque the headbolts to 110ft lbs, instead of the recommended 100ft lbs? Tires are 8 years old, used when i got them, then sat for 6 years in storage, going with more used tires, 29x10.5/15's texas ots? good tread, just look really weird. Also just discovered LF cv boot is shredded.
