HAHAHA.... Dude, ... you're one HILARIOUS monkey-man! lol. Again, JUST YOUR PORTRAIT GOT ME! haha... But, ....that was pretty funny too.... "Hmmm, looking for my ball peen hammer, as we speak... YEP, there it is.... CRUNCHHHHH" hehe. So....... wouldn't you have to replace her's if you broke it, as well? Or is this 'eye for an eye' move just about the principle of the matter? haha.

I read that a bad regulator in the alternator can cause that fuse to blow, so we will find out today if thats the case or not.
NICE! I did a trick like that one time too... Had to use 'auto locking vice grips brand vice gribs.....'... And a towel... I couldn't believe they came out.(Water pump studs, eeek! lol)

Congratz! And yes, ... not sure which fuse you mean.. But the 80A in the fusible link can MOST DEFINITELY blow if the Alternator conditions are just right! I have many spares I've picked up at PIck-your-part... The original/OEM ones aren't cheap(not sure if they're better, either, but at 1$.... worth it to me! haha)

You can go right here and get an OEM/Japan Daikin Kit...........Bottom of the page.........

http://22reperformance.com/22RE%20Pe...n%20parts.html

But I've seen better prices than that even....... Just can't remember where. I got mine for 138$, for a slighly heavier duty Daikin/Japan Kit(Exedy bought Daikin... so you have to look/ask to see if it's actually a "MADE IN JAPAN" disc/plate/bearing kit, ya know? Seems prices are a bit higher than when I bought mine just 2 years ago

Search around on here, many purveyors... you'll find a good deal. PS.... Wabbit is ALWAYS sarcastic... Just expect that. If you find he has the better deal for an OEM clutch kit.... GET IT, you don't have to spoon with him, ya know? hehehe... JK, but you know what I mean, hopefully. I think he has a 13% off sale, not sure if it was only for Friday the 13th... Maybe extended?

Another..........Not sure the make........

http://www.lceperformance.com/Street...-p/1053069.htm

Just be sure the box you get from Exedy kit doesn't say "CHINA" on it, cuz that's where MANY of them are made now. But you can still get their Japan made kits(I'm going by memory on most of that "China" stuff...there is an article on it, pretty sure, and you can read when Exedy bought them, which are made in Japan, how many, etc., IIRC)

So it looks like my TPS is bad. There's no change in idle speed when I unplug the connector or jump the terminals and checking to make sure the throttle stop screw was done right (thanks Chef, I got this now). So now I'm off to the rockauto website to order a new one. I have a growing collection of their magnets on my refrigerator.

Hey, just a personal opinion here,.....

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! hahaha... JK, but really, go OEM. Through the Online OEM Toyota Websites, ... you can grab a Factory TPS for around 75$.... NOT much more than the other parts vendors. NOT that Rock Auto's part is junk... It's just... how long did that TPS last? Also, get Allen Bolts, in case you need to adjust it later on, ya know? Go to here and look them up and maybe order them or get ones just like it? (bout half way down the page)>>>>

From: Camp Pendleton, CA. but am originally from Sisters, Oregon.
bangs and bruises

my 2000 4Runner SR5 needs the following
-A new paint job on the passenger side, as a very nice individual decided to key my rig back and forth from the back tail lights to the head lights.
-the factory stereo system is shot, will be replacing soon
- the spare tire cable was clipped underneath the truck, I want to replace the factory bumper with a spare tire swing gate custom bumper.
- I have no exhaust system, big holes completely rusted through.

ANY BODY KNOW OF A GOOD PLACE IN OREGON TO GET WORK DONE?

add driver door handle to my 4runner's list of broken crap. PO had wired it up with zip ties instead of fixing it, also was missing a spring which caused the lock to occasionally not work at all. Key no longer works in the driver door either, not too well in the pass. side either. At least I got the door handle working until I get a new one ordered.

back window still dead....

need to go to Toyota and have them cut me a key from my VIN if they still do that. Otherwise will need to replace doorlocks at a minimum as well as ignition if I want it to use one key. crap!

Hey William.................. I'm not sure, but from your ID pic, it appears you have a 3rd Gen PU? If so, .....read the quotes below(from the previous page) and hit up the link in the response I posted to Sparks89.... That should take you to the list/etc., where you can enter your year and be SURE you get the right one.... His, being an 89 PU, is a different part than the one I got>>>>

This is a blow up of that part... It looks different to me, but is also, like mine, a 4 terminal switch resistor.........

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=443625

Just go to www.rockauto.com and look up your year... Just to double check my search. Also, call them, make them work a lil and be SURE that's the part you need, ok?

PLEASE let me know if they tell you to pound sand on the "KEY BY VIN#" scenario, ok Aaron? I'd be grateful! I hear ya on the locks and ign thing..... Terrys87 told me FORGET the back door lock cyl. replacement(????) I guess it's a real PITA! So I hope they can get you YOUR key! Not sure about you, but the ign cyl on mine is CRAP! Thank God for good alarms and kill switches Time to replace mine as well... so I'll give em a call... Just curious what they tell you. Post back, k?

Hey Pair'o'8's... "88" , ........ did you ever think about just starting first with the speakers? I had a Cressida, an 84, ...the system was SICK! I know, that year, it was only cassette, etc., and you want a new deck... But just to see how much better it will sound with some GOOD QUALITY 4"-2way Infinity Speakers or even the Pioneers down at Pep Boys right now... they sound DANG GOOD, I was shocked!(Just down there yesterday, in fact, buying that bar of AWESOMENESS...... 'LAVA SOAP'! hahaha. Just curious.... Cuz I COULD NOT BELIEVE the difference in sound when I put in those new Blaupunkt I Picked up 5 or so years ago. Some 6x9's in the rear(that I have in boxes) and I was pretty clean and crisp with ok bass for years(Just finally installed an amp I've had along with a 10" JL sub.... But even without it, it's clean!)>>> YES< it's a nice new BT7300U Pioneer deck now...But even with my older Pioneer with no outs, etc.... it was very clean. Just chiming in....not sure how much you're wanting to spend right now, etc., but 49$ at PepBoys or Bestbuy.com..... You'd be way better off than with those 4"ers you have now.

And on that key by VIn scenario, I went to toyota, told them my key was worn down. All they asked for was the vin, and cut me a new key for free, it was being a PITA to get the ignition to work with that duplicate key, but after they cut by vin I had no problems, starts everytime no grabbing at all. I've been using the key for a few months now

No prob on the resistor... hope you get it ordered if you need it.... cuz they'll ship it IN ONE DAY! haha... Maybe they're near me, but I got it the next day after ordering it the morning before! NOW THAT is service we don't always get when ordering parts for our yotas from some vendors, eh? (no names mentioned! hahahaa).....

Far as the key, thanks! They told me they'd check... "hard to say since it's old".... but I'll press the service counter people as well... they had trouble finding my rig in the VIN# system to look for 'recalls I am owed'! GRRR! Hopefully I wont have this issue with the key! IF they can even do it? haha... Thanks

thanks Chef and Vanduzer! I had one cut when I bought my truck, they told me it would normally be $80 (in 2003) yikes! I will see, probably will make it to Toyota on thursday.

haven't even looked at prices for the door handle, my guess is you have to buy the whole thing...

the rear window key should go smooth if I need to swap it, I already have all the panels removed but hopefully I won't have to replace it. It's just held in with a thin sheet metal clip. the door locks are super easy to replace, the ignition would be the bear I think.

I'll let you know if they cut my key Mark
