What is broken on YOUR Toyota
#221
I haven't looked into it yet, but I have grease inside of my rear right wheel which I think might be coming off of a brake line or something.
I need to attend it quick, it's getting worse day by day.
And I'd really like to find out why my temperature gives odd readings when I start the egine after it's been droven.

ohh this is not off your break line, that sounds like an axle seal, just got my axle seal and plus you will prbly need new wheel bearing pressed, gets half pricey

Things on mine needing repair (I'm repairing all next weekend hopefully):
-Driver side CV Axle needs to be replaced
-Both upper ball joints are shot
-Wheel stud on the driver's side front wheel
-One heater hose or heater hose clamp needs attention
All in all, not too bad of a list...fairly simple stuff to fix all things considered.

Doesn't matter how prissy/preppy she is. Take her out to the trails and
show her how you 'handle your rig.'

Nothing, nada, zilch, zero problems on my 97 SR5 pushin 200,7k miles.........oh wait a sec! damn, just got a blown glove box bulb. Woe is me.
Gonna drive it till the wheels fall off....like that'll ever happen.

-Overhead Light doesn't come on when DRIVERS side door is opened. (Was like that when I got it)

People tell me I drive a pile of crap, But It's pretty funny it ALWAYS starts.

So I spent the weekend and re-did the timing cover and valve cover and all associated gaskets and seals. Did it without removing the head or pan.
Whoever did the timing last SQUISHED the head gasket so that it was pushed down towards the timing chain!!! Knew there was no way to save it so I cut it as close to the block as I could and used a bunch of Permatex sealer along the top of the timing cover.
Still leaks horribly.
I'm going to give it one more try and if that doesn't work then I need to install a new head gasket. Dang.
And I have a whicked exhaust leak near the manifold.
And my radiator has about half the fins missing.
I wish I was a millionaire!
