89 pickup
tail gate handle broken,
gate bent, tail lights tuck tapped (thanks honey)
no speedo (broke cable dropping tranny)
no parking brake handle (crackhead broke it off stealing my stereo)
windshield cracked (my fault, punched it trying to scare squeegee kid away)
lost passenger window crank handle (never sit in passenger seat anyway)
rear main weeps (its an 89 who's does't)
narrow trail branch scratches (thats what cut wax is for)
has the mixed smell of smokes coffee and my damp raingear
but my car payments are $00 per month and they will bury me in it

Lets see,
83 Toyota 4x4 Pickup,o idea on the real milage but it reads 245 000km's.
rear pinion bearing/seal need replacing
temp gauge not working
gas gauge not working
gas leaks tank over 1/2 full
rusty floors
bumper end caps missing
seats are a bit worn (they are in good shape for 25 years old)
one bulb burnt out in gauge cluster
lots of rust (floors, battery tray and the bed are long gone).
LPSV removed, need a proportioning valve..
But.. It doesn't leak any fluids at all, it starts and goes every time and takes me anywhere I want to go and its a decent daily driver.

-Radiator used to leak like a son-of-a-bit(H, 75% fixed it with JB Weld.
-Cant keep nuts on two of the exhaust manifold studs for anything(superglue, locktite, a few beads of jb weld, locktite+superglue. Locktite+super glue+ jb weld
-4th and 5th gear are starting to slip. 4th is pretty bad
-Valves need to be adjsted
-plugs need to be replaced.
-tires are either off balance or worn very badly.( they're sort of oblong, ovalish) rattles the hell out of my truck at 55-70
-Timing chain guides probably need replaced.
-needs alignment
-huge crack on windshield with about 10 other chips. (thank you Alaskan winters

roted right door and rocker

ok here's the list....
-both leaf springs broke, could not find a replacement...custom made leaf springs ~ $800
-motor, clutch, and radiator all done at once ~$2,500..with brand new 3.0 v6
-idler arm ~ about $60
-center bearing on driveshaft ~ about $135
-rear u-joint ~ $15
-bed was totally rotted, so i built a custom flatbed for it ~ $900
-alternator, battery, and starter ~ around $300-350
-muffler ~ auto zone special! $20
-speakers were blown and radio did not work when i bought the truck ~ $400
-truck needed rims and tires, rims were even starting to rot! ~ $900
-rear brakes and brake lines fixed
-the bracket that holds the brake line going across the axle on the diff rotted off so i had a hole on the diff...little weld and some gasket maker ~ $10
-there was a recall on the front suspension of the truck, so i brought it to toyota, supposedly that was like a $2,000 fix
-both doors, both rockers and both cab corners need repair.
-the clutch mount under the dash broke off and left me stranded in new hampshire. it took about two and a half hours for the tow truck to come. i just welded it back on so it was a free fix.
im sure im missing more. i bought the truck for $3100, and since then, have put roughly 6 or 7 THOUSAND dollars into it. this thing is a money pit that never gets full. i still love it though!......sometimes haha

I'll start on the interior.
Pass side window button is MIA
pass side window regulator is missing the last 1 or 2 teeth
the radio is MIA
the wiring to the dash is a disaster

my clutch master cylinder is leaking into the cab
the transfer shifter hits the body so it wont stay in Low
oil pan is leaking
front axle is bleeding
starts hard
bed is starting to rust out

88 PU .....
Pretty much every seal needs to be replaced in the drivetrain.
Need to finish axle snorkel mod.
Need to finish my bed.... (there could be a subheading for all the crap my bed needs)
Divers side door is pretty much dead in every respect
needs rocker panels and some spots on the body replace. (doing that next week xD )
need to go over the brakes again
Ac needs to be taken out (i've never used AC in any of my vehicles)
Needs a new blower motor
Need to finish bedlining the floor
need to take care of the rust on the fender while i am waiting to replace them
oil rings hate life
needs shocks, and rear leafs need to be addressed, as the previous owner though he was genius.....
need to finish my bumper
my LSPV is about completely deteriorated
exhaust needs to be replaced from the manifold to the muffler
e-brake is nonexistent
frame needs to be taken care of again, no rust whole, going to keep it that way
Various wiring is messed up, lots of gremlins
...... i'm just going to stop there....
(on that, reading over what other people have wrong made me realized alot of other crap my truck is lacking mechanically....)

Front left fender has a big dent w/ accompanying rust.
Torsion bars sag, especially driver's side, see: carrying my fat butt around for a decade.
Valve "tick" might be getting worse. - Might tackle that one tomorrow if there's time.
Shifter cover plate (top of the tranny) is seeping, but not really enough for me to worry about, I'll just top it off.
Something gives a slight "bad bearing" whine at cold startup. Hopefully the alternator (lifetime warranty), not the water pump or anything more serious. Goes away after a minute er so.
Dashboard light behind the A/C controls comes on intermittently.
LOTS of cracks in the windshield, LOTS of cracks in the spare tire, ONE big crack in the dashboard.
Hole in the carpet where my left foot sits while workin' the clutch. Coffee, soda, and Gatorade stains in the rest of the carpet.
Never had a rear bumper, been meaning to get one of those.
Need to ditch the crappy after market fan clutch, won't keep it cool while running A/C, sitting in traffic.
Every square inch of the bed has chips, scratches, gouges, and even a hole (which actually helps drain the rain water out), and of course the accompanying surface rust you would expect from all of the above. The truck don't know nothin' but to work, I ain't fixin' the bed.
All of this, and I still won't sell it. Must get an offer every other month from some random stranger to take it off my hands.
