Is that the nest of a gigantic mouse, or a gigantic nest of a normal sized mouse?
One of those is really scary!
Sorry, I couldn't resist...
Pat☺

Well, there ya go! You can't be too careful with those giant mice. If you see your cat running for the hills, go getcher gun!
By the bye, does you neighbor run naked through your yard often? If she's pretty, no problem, if HE looks anything like me , well, you know what you must do
That's a great looking engine, too. Now, keep it that way
Pat☺
I figured I'd try the daily driver thing to work with it myself till all this blows over. The town is shutting down and I may not be considered essential personal as of now. So I drove two days in a row!

your close she does look like a he and there was that one time she just dropped her pants to piss in the backyard but she may be living somewhere different these days since a run in with the law for a whole other deal. Can't make this stuff up😃
all the remaining vacuum hoses have now been switched to silicone plus I replaced the fuel hose from the charcoal canister going to tank with new ethonal resistant fuel hose. The only thing I have had for issues with the silicone is any place it may rub it wears through easily. I'll keep an eye on that.
Sweet. Tnx! I see cracks on some of my hoses that I merely pushed farther into the rigid tubes so they don't leak.
That's how it's done! I did that also. The vacuum hose on the EGR valve was becoming an issue though. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to do that one but it was doable.

Latest score on e bay. For slightly more than the rebuild kit on the drag link I've got the complete OEM drag link. I'm guessing the original is not going to come apart on the hub side. It's fairly rusted together. I'll still attempt to free it up though but no worries now.

Yup the original drag link was a loss the end on the hub side had to be cut off . It had no grease in it and was rusted together. I'm glad I went with this.
Actually the steering was already good but that end of the drag link on the hub\ carrier was going to become an issue fast. No grease was going into it and the rubber boot was split letting water in for who knows how long. Even after cutting the drag link apart the inner cup is still rusted to it.
a couple more improvements. I was working on fixing and repainting the 4runner side badges but they are in bad shape and didn't really come out too well. So I just slapped some decals on the spots for now. The 4 speed shift knob is from my first Toyota truck and first new vehicle 1990 2WD. The original shift knob was missing the label like so many and this one was basically new since I switched to a T handle with in a month of owning that truck . It's just kinda nostalgic 😂
the top is off! For now anyway. I needed to set up my portable garage to do some work on it so figured I would see what it looks like without the top again.
