flywheel-removal tips?

flywheel-removal tips?

hey i am rebuilding my 22r and i need to take off the flywheel. i have been trying for the last hour and a half to take it off but the bolts are on prity good is there any easy way to get the bolts off?

lots of grunting and straining

I've heard a heat gun helps, but I wouldn't do that...they're on with about 80 ft lbs...

thanks man! your right! it also seemed to help to tap the heads of the bolts with a hammer. (for future reffrence)

when you put them back on make sure you use locktite as well. Not only are they 80 ft-lb but they are loctited from the factory which makes them that much harder to take off. Same thing with the crank bolt.

DON'T use the red Loc-Tite - you won't get them off without a torch next time if you do
