Pacesetter tfx catback exhaust

I bought this exhaust off of jcwhitney. First off the exhaust expects you to use 2 of the stock bolts and nuts, as my truck being a 93 the bolts were rusted and unusable. Second off the flare was not big enough for 2 of the pieces to connect so I had to take this to a local parts store and get it flared more. And 2 of the bolts for the oxygen sensor (California residents only) did not fit. Finally, after getting the exhaust all together, it was about 2 in too long and would not connect to the last hanger above the tip. So I had to go and buy 4 bolts, 2 nuts, get a flared job done, cut it myself, and last but not least, the tip sits right in between the leaf Springs and the bracket for them. So now I have to the it and get it bent back about 1.5 inches. It sounds better but not much different from stock exhaust. I would not suggest wasting your time and extra money.

I tried a Pacesetter and did not like it. You will most likely hear some pinging or ticking. That is another reason I don't care for Pacesetter.

Thanks for sharing an actual experience. Sorry it sucked though. I've heard a lot of negative comments about pacesetter, but wondered how much was just passed along. Hope you get it worked out.

These headers are garbage, they rusted apart within a year, the collector came apart on both sides, and this is Calif! Nice and dry here. Save your money and buy hedman headers, they cost more but its better and thicker material and I've had mine in for 3 years now. I welded a bung on it so it would smog, but now it won't pass the visual! Had to get it illegally sniffed, oh well.
