with a few local members having their trucks riped off by some honesty challenged individuals I decided to try a more extreme method of theft prevention:

Finished swapping out my steering column and added the early Supra steering wheel.
My old columns tilt mechanism got stripped out wheeling a while ago. It is nice being adjustable again

Not sure if I like it or not. I need to touch up the emblem a little.
It is in much better shape than my old one.

put the rear bumper back on finally--chopped the mount for the swing out and left the latch mount on the left so I could either use it for a flag(dune running) or a CB antenna mount. Neither one would block the left turn signal much

with the bumper back on it doesn't look quite as funky as it did before....still not sure if I like the 4" back up lights or not. it would be easy to fill in the hole again...

**Open to opinions, I know someone mentioned it looked like a truck in district 9

either way I need to either get on IFS rear end or throw some wheel spacers on the back...too narrow in the back

honestly, in my opinion, it looks great either way. i like the rear end as a whole. keeping the lights in would not hinder the appearance, nor would removing them. however, if you removed them, wouldn't you still have to put some on somewhere?

my thoughts, anyway

Ian: they have kind of grown on me...without the rear bumper mounted it looked wierd to me. I just need to wire a relay inline with the lights, these things are at 35w or so, they would burn up the stock circuit.

LED Tail/Brake Lights mounted.

had a little time and was able to get the rear lights wired up.
sacrificed a couple of cracked housings to get the connectors:

the loose wires are for the back up light, I need to use that wire to power a relay.

I am debating about getting a set of 24 LED brake lights to match the turn signals..
My turn signals have the infamous fast flash, Have heard good things about this Tridon® EP35 Flasher from AutoZone on a few forums:

what do you mean by "a set of 24 LED brake lights to match the turn signals"?

on the flasher: good choice

and those amber lights look a little dim to me (maybe it's just the lighting?)

was just thinking i would match up the red and amber lights..brakes have 6, t/s have 24
the amber ones are set up as a tail light and turn signal, they are much brighter when they flash.

I also tried the superbrite LED strobe flasher to try to get the rear side markers to flash with the signals, but no luck

So picked up a flasher from autozone this morning, it was DOA. Will have to take it back this weekend.
Since I had a couple of minutes I added some SmittyBilt roll bar handles-
makes it easier pull my big fat butt into the truck easier

I will probably order a couple of sets for the passenger side and in the back. Pretty decent for $20/ set

The driver side had adjustable side bolsters and lumbar support.
This should be the last set....
