Western WA. Comcast users, reboot that cable modem

Reboot, time to reboot, the new speed is here.
The 4K MB download kicked in last night.
Got an email from Drew from his work from a link on DSL Reports, and sure enough it is here.

Here are two tests of mine, old & new.
It should improve a bit too.

Old
2005-03-24 08:03:16 EST: 2789 / 202
Your download speed : 2856219 bps, or 2789 kbps.
A 348.6 KB/sec transfer rate (what you see on a download when saving a file)
Your upload speed : 207447 bps, or 202 kbps.

New
2005-03-24 08:07:27 EST: 3747 / 327
Your download speed : 3837398 bps, or 3747 kbps.
A 468.4 KB/sec transfer rate (what you see on a download when saving a file)
Your upload speed : 335645 bps, or 327 kbps.

I test mine here at the Seattle site.

Should I not be using WinMX while trying that test?
And what about going through a router?
Is it accurate? Or a split up connection?

to get the most accurate results, you should be doing 'nothing' while testing.. by this i mean network traffic.. winmx, transferring files, streaming media.. can it all, then test.

Guess this is all I get for $15 a month. There are two other computers on the router besides mine right now downloading, I wonder if that has anything to do with it being slower than the others.

Is there a way I can change my upload speed so I can D/L faster?
Seems you guys beat me in download and I win in upload, but download is more important to me.

nope, this is set by your ISP, nothing you can do about it.. ohwell, host a website with that upload bandwidth, will pay for your connection fees

yes, every computer on the router shares the bandwidth, so if they are downloading, it hurts your test.. and thats a great price for that speed.. wish it was like that here.
