Screw the grinder. I'll deal with the junk when I have the plasma for the SAS.

Thanks! I really appreciate the compliment!

No new updates on the truck really. But I am only a few hundred bucks away from the trailgear SAS kit.

Daym, can't wait for that.... I'm sure it'll be a great write up! Heck, maybe you can find a bunch of stuff to throw on CL, have a Garage Sale, ....WHATEVER IT TAKES, then you could get started, eh? lol.

I recently bought a set of power mirrors from Deathcougar that will swap in place of my manual mirrors. I'll tell ya. It's DEFF a huge PITA to aim those mirrors after every trail run. Now, I'll just have to sit back in my seat and press a button

I'm going to order some of these connectors soon so that I can retain a semi stock quick connect accessibility for when I remove the doors to go wheeling. Wiring shouldn't be too hard. This wiring diagram shows the basics.
The package should come later this week. Stay tuned for pics.

Scuba, I don't know how good you are with crimpers, but ya might wanna pick up the crimpers meant for those weatherpacks. They are a little pricey though even for cheaper ons.

The actual connectors I'm going to purchase have the terminals already in them with a 12" wire lead on them. Like so:

I've used similar connectors from the same company with great results.

That'll work too. I was gonna pick some of these up when I did my Fireball Ignition, but wound up no needing them. I had found some at a JY off some GM's.

Best connectors on the planet to use though.

Actually, you don't have to swap armrests. Some trucks came with power mirrors and without power windows. This places the mirror control switch on the center console. Shouldn't be too hard to wire up and it should look semi stock.

Nice Scuba; I just spent the last hour or so cruising Ebay to see if I could find something that would work on my '81 for power/heated mirrors...actually found some that might work--GM products..down the road project though

thanks for the idea...

I got the mirrors today from Deathcougar. They bolted right up. Now I need to figure out the wiring situation. I'm waiting on the connectors from PCS and then I'll wire them up soon.

Very nicely packaged.

I originally wanted the switch here:

However, after looking at it, it appears that there isn't enough room between the cab floor and where the pigtail for the connecter would be.

My next option was this spot next to the clutch cancel, but I don't like the idea of having to pull the whole dash apart.

So I kept looking and it should fit here pretty damn well...

Updates when I get them wired up.
