Fuel Injector Replacement Issue

I replaced one of my injectors yesterday, put everything back together and started it up. It fired up nice, sounded strong...but...

I noticed one of the original injectors is leaking from the top were it meets the fuel rail. I was just able to lift the drivers side and swap the injector out. At this point now that I have to pull every part off again, should I just replace all the o-rings and bushing? Or just reseat them?
These are the original bushings and o-rings, they were put into a new engine (not installed by me).

Thanks
Bob

I'd replace them all. Also the fuel rail crush washers are one time use items. Read this: http://www.ncttora.com/fsm/1996/SIL/.../inje/inst.pdf

Don't play around with fuel leaks.

BTW it would be a good idea to have the other 5 injectors cleaned, and the whole set of injectors flow tested

The FSM calls them gaskets, there are 4 of them, 1 on each side of both banjo connections. Really they just look like washers, but they are a soft metal that seals as you torque the bolt.

No, here are 2 of them. There might be as many as 6, it just depends on how many of the banjo bolts you loosen up.

I'm sure there will be someone chime in now and say they have never replaced one and never had a problem. But as long as you are at the part counter anyway and they are cheap.

^^

I'd agree. Spend the .75 cents and stay safe. Fuel leaks are nothing to play around with!

Agreed with replacing the O-rings.

If you can afford the down-time, send the injectors off to be deep-cleaned: http://www.witchhunter.com/
