is the front end [88] suppose to sit HIGHER than the rear?

or is the truck suppose to sit dead level?

I can get no answer from the owner if someone sometime had replaced the front springs to cause this. he says he doesnt know.

it might just be in my head....seems like the front sits high.

 

well remeber the fender is cut lower in the back than it is in the front so it might appear to be.

anyways remeber you might just have some beat leaf springs in the rear..its not a big problem to fix at all

 

the rear end has sagged most likely. just need to get new rear springs

 

or an add a leaf or shackles......

 

VERY common on the early model 4Runners.

 

A saggy rear end is pretty common in older .... trucks

 

They actually were a tad lower in back when new. Generally gets worse with age.

 

well sitting in a level car wash today I was blasting the dirt out of the bed and it doesnt run out the tailgate "downhill", so I am assumig that its an optical illusion from the cut of the fenders.

I love the way my truck looks right now. I have the fronts at around 13 1/4" and the rears (from edge of fender trim to top of rim) at around 13 1/2 ish". My truck looks ÅÅÅÅing awesome with the wheel wells all similarly spaced. I just took the canopy off the other day to cruise around for the summer and it rocks (really love opening the slider and all the windows and having the wind come through the cab)! Do yourself a favour and get new springs. The extra leaf really helps the back on my truck too.

 

where would be a good place to look for shackles, i have been thinking about it but didn't know they made them. thought about making my own.
