YOWZA, ....now if that's not evidence of a "YOTA BROTHERHOOD", ...well, I don't know what is! lol.

Sounds good!

Hey, .... Mr. Freak, .... did they put new springs in it? Just curious. I'm digging around for input but this is more just curiosity.

Hahahaha............

Sure will. I planned on getting pics of the crank and bearings, rods, etc, that I pulled out of the new-to-me block, ...but time wouldn't allow. Got one of the "Toyota" Emblem labeled Piston though hahaha.

Thanks for the compliment.

I was about to start on MY block, tearing it down,....but got the call on dinner. S'gunna have to wait..........till tonight and tomorrow. I have to be ready on Monday. Hopefully will have it running by next weekend! We'll see... no longer in a HUGE rush or counting thy chickens before thine hatcheth! lol. Ya know? lol

Woo! Are you gonna try to reuse the "TOYOTA" pistons or are you gonna bore it? I hear ya on the countin your chickens before they hatch, I have done that too many times on my truck as you have seen and Im takin the same route you are and not countin it till its running in my truck wit no problems.

I've been told by most that using the new Pistons and having it bored 20-over is probably the better way to go. Still waiting on a couple more to shoot me their 2cents. lol.

I just want to be SURE, and if that means getting new bearings for 50-60$,..... that's really not worth it to me in the realm of 'being sure'. But, if they're fine, and they're wearing nicely with this crank I have, ...then I guess it makes perfect sense to re-use at least the Rod bearings and possibly the mains.

Found the clevite 77's for 45$ for the whole set including the keeper thingy's, lol. I also found NPR set, complete, with pistons, rings, bearings, all for 94$. Just need the 'MASTERS' to give me the "HELL NO" or "YEAH, BOOOOEY!", and I'll bite the bullet. Seriously....I'm doing this for around 1/3rd of what this guy before charged me to screw it all up.... but I WANT IT RIGHT, PERIOD! lol. Not SOOO interested in 'saving every penny', ya know?

Haha yeah you know it Chef, Mr. Freak is my father so just call me Ethan. and as far as new springs Yeah it was totally rebuilt by Burts Automotive here in The Springs. Great guy who knows his toyotas like the back of his hand. Zach, i will check tomorrow dont get your hopes up too high though it might have gone with the 4runner. Hope it didnt though. If it did I got another guy who might have a good one on hand, sitting in the back of his shop.
Great minds must really think a like because i used the term "YOTA BROTHERHOOD" today too.

Still interested in that solid axel?

Awesome on the YOTA BROTHERHOOD!!! Im not gettin my hopes too high. Like Chef said earlier dont count your chickens before they hatch lol. I am still interseted in that solid axle but not until I get the truck runnin. That is first on priority. After I get that all straightened out I will prolly pick up the solid, if thats all good with yall.

That would be most awesome!! Did you find that head?

I did a lil work on my buper. I changed the design some. No bed bob just yet. I think I am gonna wait till after the SAS.
It will end up being abnout an inch wider than the bed sides just to give it a lil protection

The ''c'' channel fits perfectly into the frame rails, so thats how Im gonna run it.

It will end up lookin something like this in the rear when its all done. Don't mind the side image part. Im still tryin to figure how i want to run the wrap around

Dang, ....well, you'll get one, Zach. Thinking of finding an actual Toyota Head and having it rebuilt? Or going the other route?

Bumpers gonna be sick!

Best wishes on the SAS, too, Z!

I honestly dont care what the head is as long as it works out lol. I found that 20r head but I dont think I want to go that route anymore. I dont really have the money to go thru with the hybrid swap at the moment. I may still buy the head or have my buddy buy it (only $20 cant beat it). I dont want to let the guy down cuz there are other parts the guy has that I want lol. Thanks on the compliments on the bumper. I think it will turn out killer, as soon as I get it done that is lmao. The SAS will be a while till it actually gets done, but I do want to get all of the stuff for it in the mean time.

On a side note. A friend of mine has a IFS lift kit for sale. Its a Skyjacker 3 or 4, cant remember wich, brand new in the box. Its complete cept the shocks. He only wants $600 for it. If yall want or know anyone who wants it lemme know.

Yeah,... I might have too, ......but now that I've got everything ready for the 2", all new bushings, etc., ...I think I'ma just stick with my plan. Plus, I can't spend anything but the motor right now as I have other obligations to pay for parts I got up front, first! Can't be on a spending spree, personally, lol. Plus, if I ever did anything over 500$ from THIS POINT ON,....it would be an SAS. A buddy I know said, "If you find a GOOD SHAPE axle...I'll help you do it for under 2G's! ......including rebuilding the axle and armoring it, , etc... I can fab anything"...only thing is, ...he's in Phoenix! lol. So, Looks like a road trip would be in order for that one....cuz you can't beat that deal with a stick! lol But seriously... I just don't NEED that mod, at all, for the moment.
