Hey chef, have u ever rebuilt a solid axel before. Very simple around $125 for all the parts then first time doing it its probably two hours per side. When the time comes for u to get one, and if it needs to be rebuilt i can email you the step by step directions with pictures and specs. Zach, that picture is exactly why I want to win the lotto, then i wouldnt have to wait on extra cash to make mods to the vehicles. The possibilities are endless but the wallet is not.

Hey, thanks, Mr. Freak! Very nice of ya! I am going to keep hoping to find a clean 85 some day.... with EFI of course, lol. And, well, then I'll be ready for that 'fix', ya know? Yeah, I've rebuilt a couple, the biggest job being my 70CST Blazer with a 350-4bolt 4spd. That thing was LUNCHMEAT, lol.... pretty much carnage in there, .... made some of it more difficult. Anyway, thanx, 4RunF, I'll keep that in my memory closet! lol.

I use the gap that they recommend in the Haines manual. I think its like .36 or .036. It seems to run good everywhere I go and I have been up to 14,000.

That maybe it lmao. That was an off the top of my head remember hahaha. It could be for moms Escort of the old mans Bronco. Its good here, still lookin for a head to slap on my motor. I found out they fired the fly by night mechanic at the Yota Yard that did my motor. Sooo that just goes to show ya that I wasnt the only one that got the shaft. Other than all that, I drove a center punch through my pinky finger tonight while workin on my ATV drive chain. Whoops lmao.

I gap mine at .031, thats where i have gotten the best performance at. What plugs are you using? And ouch zach, i hate it when that happens. Yeah Chef, no probelms, u need burfeilds or beings, hit me up first. My old man has the hookup at toyota. He used to run a FJ40 restore shop here in the springs. and plenty of parts left over from that buisness, found out that the exact kit for the 40's is the same kind for the 84-89 4runners too.

HEY, ....4runFreak,..... any chance you or he have a knowledge base on the FJ Tie Rod end Swap? I'll be doing my suspension, soon, and was looking into that, ....but seemed to be a lot of differing opinions on 'how' to accomplish that, lol. I'll probably have to do it a bit later, but curious if he/you knew on that end what the best dealio is? lol.
