I flushed my engine/radiator again. Got most of the crap out but not all of it. Installed the new thermostat and took her for a drive. Seems ok to drive so I am gonna run it and see what happens.

 

WOW, why can't I HAVE that simple of a solution for once? haha. Nah, I know, could turn either way, but WISHIN FOR THE BEST, Z! Was gonna ask if you thought about having it dye tested? Guess this is as good a way as any to find out though, lol.

 

I dyed the coolant about a month ago but not the oil. I might want to give that a try. It would prolly be worth it.

Well so far so good! I agree chef, I don't think I have ever had an "easy solution". GOOD LUCK Z. my fingars are crossed.

 

Thanks for the wishes guys. I took it for a longer drive and still no fluctuation in temp and still tons of power. I will still keep a hard eye on it. It will get a longer drive when I go to see A Day To Remember on sunday.

Depends on the colors, and which goes where, yeah? honestly? I just pictured that rig black with that pattern in RED, .....seems awesome in my head, but that's not always a good gauge, as we've all found out when trying something we SWORE we'd like, right? lol.

Sure, is it the Japanese Rising Sun look you're going for, Z? First I thought, "Phoenix", lol....then "Japanese Rising Sun"... am I right, am i, am i? hahaha. I saw a sky blue Toy with Outlaw 2's.... HOLY CRAP It looked nice. Thinking of my buddy explain it, I didn't think it would, ya know?

For sure. I'm still tossin it around in my head. I might do it on the tail gate instead. Less paint and I could paint the whole tailgate black and make the rising sun red like its suppodabe.

Its a tore down EB. Its my next project, whenever I get around to it. My dad has tons of EBs layin around. Hes got One that he drives, two that hes workin on and like 3 or 4 more waitin to get worked on.

 

That would look awesome depending on the colors. I saw that and imdediately thought of rising sun. I think that it would look best on the tailgate tho. just my personal opinon.

 

Yeah I thought about it and it seems to be better that way. I even did another paint rendition. The sun will be red with a black background. The Toyota lettering will come off

No problem. I have already started the process of paint. I scraped the TOYOTA lettering off and painted the whole thing black. Reason you ask? There were alot of paint nics and imperfections, so I sanded it down and painted it all flat black. So tomorrow on to the graffics.

$1000 took it home. Its an 83. 20/22r hybrid. He's already put a pair of 2nd gen runner seats in it. Its really clean, minimal dents and pretty much nooo rust.
