Thanks guys. I do have some work in front of me.
Got the doors out and torn down. They have been fixed in a couple spots, perfect donors for trail doors.....


Heres the new head (with cam) next to the old head. Jus cuz

Thanks Chef!!! Im glad I popped on the doors. I had a blast makin the first one and Im gonna have a blast usin em haha. I cant wait!!! Got the new HG and Intake gasket. Just Felpro ones from the parts store. I jus wanna get to drivin and wheelin it again!!

Yeah me too lol. I got the intake bolted up tonight and am gettin ready to go back out and look for some RTV after I get done eatin some steak. Have it goin in the next few days.

Got some more done on my driver side half door.



I was gonna button up the whole thing but I still dunno what Im gonna do for the door handle.

Thanks. Im tryin to getter runnin for the season. Im behind but should be on the road soon. The doors will take me a lil while cuz I only put in a lil time everyday cuz of work. But theyll get done for the first run of the season

doors are looking good i have seen people use old tool box handles on there half doors not exactly sure how but they seem to mount pretty flush and work great just don't know how they do it

Thanks guys. I am lookin to use the exterrior handle. I have most of the bugs worked out in using them should have the first one finished soon. As for my head.... its a pre 85 head (round exhaust ports) its too tall for my timing chain. I didnt know there was a difference haha. Hopefully I can find one down at the yard to swap for.

Yeah, ya learn something new everyday I guess. I have a line on a head from an 87 so we will see. The guy is gonna call me tomorrow sometime to let me know.

Aight I got the proper year head today. The guy jus swapped me out. He even offered me a job hahahaha. Gettin it ready to slap on there.

Most definitly.
I got the intake on and the head torqued down. Just gotta button up the rest in the morn. I did run into one snag while torqin it down. The bolts were dirty as hell and were a female dog to get in the first time around. I cleaned them up, chased the holes with the cleanest bolt, and ran the other bolts down the #1 bolt hole (cleanest I thought) and then commenced to torque it down again. The second time around was much better. I was gonna power thru and get it all done tonight but Im tired, so to finish it up in the morning.
