That would free up space for another apparatus to be bolted to the pass. side of the block. Maybe you can keep the brace and hook up an "on board air compressor", .....can't remember the name, lol. Lot's of people have them though.
For sure. I would leave the brace but take the lines, compressor and condensor. I had thought about an OBA system but I don't know how I am gonna go about it yet.

Hey, Z, ...not trying to pester you, ...just thought I'd share this from my build. Go from this permalink, and look up to I believe the 6th Picture up from the bottom, STARTING ABOVE the video(6 Up from the last PHOTO, not including the video).... That is a spot where the larger coolant channel could get oil in it(if oil is leaking through the timing cover gasket DOWN into that coolant channel).....but it's only getting in there by gravity, the coolant can't actually leak back into the oil through the timing cover gasket, maybe? Look at the pic I mentioned, in this link, and tell me what you think?

You ain't pesterin me Chef. I appreciate you tryin to help me figure it out.
There is a good chance that water jacket could me part of my problem if the timing cover is leakin some. Thats where I would start lookin when I get it all pulled apart.

NIce to know that there are guys who care about how your truck turns out and are not just there to make a quick buck. The guys at APR I talked to were jerks on the phone

I didn't tear into the motor today, prolly won't till I get a call from the yard. But I did tear into the front end. I wanted to remove the AC system, so I did. Its all out except the small hard line on the innner fender well. I aslo wanted to leave my bumper off but still wanted to keep my turn signals. So I put them in the grill. All thats left is to button it all back up
Pile of parts (now for sale)

The front of the truck disassembled

The new location for the signals

Thanks Ethan.

No call today, we shall see tomorrow I guess.

I got the grill all bolted back up and finished.

I'm gonna leave the bumper off and prolly build a tube bumper of sorts or buy one of Addicted's bumpers. Haven't really decided just yet.

Well no call from the yard yesterday. So I decided to take it upon my self call them at 9 when they open. They have a motor on the stand ready to go but thet have to talk to the owner again to see where she wants to go with this. It is right at a month out of warranty, so I am greatful that they want to make it right. You don't usually get people like that these days. I hope the owner comes through. I will hopefully know sometime today but I'm not really gonna hold my breath.

Well by 11 today still no call. So I took it upon myself to call them yet again. I talked to the owner and she said they could sell me another engine.
I was like no way and broke down my story yet again and she told me to call back in a half hour so she could talk to the mechanic. With all of the problems I have had I should have waited a little longer, saved up the dough and bought new. This whole ordeal has got me down.
