I havn't done anything with it since I parked it in the spot it is in the pics. I have there is catastrophic failure somewhere. Coolant in the oil. I did a oil change about 100 miles ago and the oil is just as green as the coolant. So its a piece of yard art till I get the money to fix it yet again. But I might throw that lic plate down there jus to see what it looks like.

She'll get fixed eventually. I just have to make some money at the new job to fix er up right. I have come up with a list of sorts of what I am shootin for (engine along with other stuff I need, some is obvious)

New head, cam, rockers and shafts
Complete engine rebuild kit
New oil pump
Check to see if the block is in spec
New crank
Check for spec on my surplus of pistons and rods
New gears for the rear (current ones are really worn)
Sliders from AOR
New power steering lines
...more to come...

Update on new engine stuffs.
I called my machine shop buddy and got some prices for this engine rebuild.
Block boil/clean: $60
Boring if necessary: $95
Crank grind: $95 (I think I may use the crank outta my current motor if its within spec)
Head rebuild: $100+ depending on what needs to be done, if its salvagable
Rod refurbish: $50 and $80 to put on all 4 pistons.
Grand total from the machine shop: $480

Then other stuff
ENGNBLDR master kit: $219
Stock cam from engnbldr: $59
RV Cam from engnbldr: $108
New timing cover: $48
I havn't decided on which cam to use just yet
I still need to figure out where to get the rocker assy. stuff.
But its lookin to cost me somewhere around $1000 give or take some

Which really isn't to bad, this a machine shop has awesome prices. it sounds to me like the bottom block could be cracked.

Dang man! Sorry to hear it didn't just keep 'ga-go-goin'!

Far as the Rocker Assembly stuff..... there's a couple around. Only one seems to have them ALL DAY, ....LCE. I KNOW, much more cabbage, cuz it's all new.... I think 22reperformance.com has them as well....but like I said, he rebuilds them and bores them out, etc., and uses factory but used rockers for the cheaper version he has.....and he doesn't always have the rockers available to him, ya know?

LCE entire/complete rocker assembly, 399$(IIRC)....I KNOW, I KNOW, hahaha... Just throwing it out there for ya. Reason being, well, .....Tod WONT EVEN CARRY Rocker products, ...and, he VERYYYYY highly recommends that you get OEM Rockers, PERIOD, ....so that's the main reason I mention it.

Best wishes, man... wish I was closer, I'd GLADLY stop by and lend a hand!

Thanks for the info Chef. I emailed Tod last week and askeed him if he carried any of the rocker stuff. I got the same thing out of him as you told me. I will prolly end up usin OEM stuff. I start a new job on saturday, first one since September, so I will finally have some money to actually get this done.

Since I got a new job I have come up with a to do list on the truck. It might take a while, but its my vision for it. There will be more added to it as I go.

The regular maintainance stuff I need to do:
Heater fan control relay
Replace/repair driver door guts
Rust repair on driver floor and whole bed
Windshield
New door weather stripping
Rear wheel cylinders

The mods:
AOR sliders
Custom "C" channel bumper
Locker or spooled rear (still havn't decided)
In bed swing away tire carrier
Trail doors
Ammo can storage in bed
Move Hi Lift mount to swing away
Qucik release door hinges
Dual cases wit twin stick
New rear third gears maybe up to 4.56 or 4.88 not sure yet
Rear disc brakes
SAS with 4 in lift
31's or 33's of the MTR Kevlar flavor
Winch with front and rear leads
Custom front bumper

Haha yeah... Thats one of my longer term ambitions lol. I still have to find an axle to do it. It really shouldnt be that hard, we have like 2 or 3 strictly Toyota yards here. Just finding one for the right price is the thing.

Oh, I know....but it's just that, well, every time I researched it, it seems that it comes out to a couple grand, maybe 3, minimum, to do 'very well', .....but I'm watching one closely now that's developing day by day....he's doing as much as possible to save money but do it STRONG, ...so we'll see. But, as I thought....it's already racking up in price, quickly, lol. Cougar, you know him, right? I admire those that tackle that, ...but I'd rather find a motorless 85 or something, ya know? Just personal opinion on it, lol.

I feel ya on the price of a SAS. Thats the only thing that has kept me from doin it this far, its still an idea in my mind. I just can't justify payin that much when I can pick up a 84 /85 for less than that. Ya know? I see them all over the place and they go for relativly cheap around here, ya jus gotta wait it out. .I do know cougar, I keep an eye on his build. It has definitly come a long way.

Heck yeah. I love my Yotas witha passion. Did you get your truck off of Craigslist? It looks familiar. Have you checked out Volcom's or DIRTCO's build up? They have some killer rigs and they are Colorado boys.
