Meh... I don't need that facy stuff... I don't smoke. I use my ash tray as a spare change droor lol. And I don't usually go in my glove box. Im fine the way it is. Mark I can try to fab your mud flaps but it might still be hard. Ill give It a shot next time I go over to your place. You said you hald a small welding machine right?

Hey buddy, no my welder got stolen and if I had one I would just try to talk weld a bracket 2 something I figure out... But since you have one over there maybe I could just stop by once I figure it all out and we can just have it up in a jiffy. what I want to do is try and integrate my orginal mud flaps without the brackets into another mud flap that will be of legal and sufficient size. and yet I don't want to wind up to heavy so I'm still thinking about it. it's only a matter of time before those of us in Los Angeles get pulled over for not having my flaps, trust me.

^^ woot got a new follower.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I finally finished the license plate holder/lock.

First i decided to beef up the license plate side with some more metal. It was pretty thin metal so i doubled the size on the end where i plan to mount the license plate. Also decided to add a cap on the end of one of the pipes to avoid getting water into it which will eventually lead to rust.

This is the Female side. i welded this to the tire holder back plate.

Here's the male license plate holder side. This will act as an anti-theft device as well. With the lock it'll have it wont be so easy for theives to steal my spare tire. Notice my welds are getting much better with practice.

Notice the Master Lock in my hand locking both pieces together. Ohhhhh yea..... I'm gooooood! lol jk It was just a really creative innovative idea thats all. Even if the theives manage to remove the nuts off the tire carrier they still wont be able to take my tire while still having this locking device there.

Here she is! It's finally finished. Well, almost finished. only thing it needs is the SuperBrightLEDs LED strip that i bought today. I will probably use some extra square tubing to make a holder for the LED strip to mount onto. Probably cut the square tube so it's missing 1&1/2 of the sides. and i'll just weld it to the back of the plate holder so it kind of hangs over the tops side. and the LEDs will face down. It's kind of hard to explain. I will have to explain through pictures or drawings. Oh well, you guys will have to wait till the LED strip comes in the mail lol.

I just weighed it. It sits at approximately 110lb. And that is still not including the spare rim/tire with jerrycan(even more when full)

I like your ideal. I am gonna have to use that idea so it doesn't mess up my paint job. Thanks Dragon.

That bumper is beautiful! Great idea with the locking license plate holder. I need to either make a bumper like this or flatbed mine.

I don't really know but would plati dip work on the masterlocks? Might look a little better than innertube but I think innertube would be cheap and work well. Great work btw. Looks beefy. Any plans on where the spare used to be?

Thanks man. I honestly don't like the look of flat beds at all... my vote would be to go with a bumper like this. I find more uses to have an actual truck bed vs a flat bed.

That isn't too bad either. I went to Autozone yesterday and seen that Rustoleum sells a rubber spray. That might work out too.

Aren't you going to be a doctor? One day your Yota will have all the bells and whistles imaginable. It's already bad ass.

I like flat decks. You can get the fold up sides for them too. So practical. I saw them all the time in Australia. Down side is you now have even less weight over the rear wheels.

Not a Doctor, but a Surgical Tech. I will be working with the doctors cut people open in surgeries. lol So Flat beds will make your truck less heavy in the rear so they're more likely to flip? or what?
