Because the angle that the axle is at once its mounted on the leaf springs is too straight I need it more at an angle(pointing more toward the transfercase.) I have 4 new spring perches that AllPro included so I'ma use 2 for the rear. The I don't think the front needs it. The font axle supposedly came off an 85 that was already lifted inches with those same 4 leaf springs that im using on my truck. So the angle should be good already. My rear definitely needs them because it is set for stock height. Therfore its not at enough angle for a 4 inch lift.

Today I finally got around to painting the Hy-steer bars and axle armor. Not shown here in this picture but we also got the steering stablizer installed as well. Doesn't that look BEAYOTAFUL!?!?

We also got around to welding the shock hoops painting them and then gettong those sexy Walker Evans racing shocks installed. Woooooot! We also ran the extended brake lines. Ruben had weld on the old ifs brake line holder with the clips to be able to hold the brake lines in place. You'll see in the next pictures what I mean.

We also checked to see how much I'm going to need to extend my front drive shaft. Turns out I need to make it about 3" - 3&1/4" longer. We can't tell how much we need to extend the rear drive shaft till I get the rear 3rd member back from YotaMasters this coming saturday. So after that we're pretty much done.

As of right now only things left on the check list are
1) Pick up the rear 3rd member and install
Weld on the new spring perches in the rear.
2) Put In the differential gear oil into both axles.
3) Measure distance from pinion to driveshaft to determine how much more I need to extend the rear driveshaft.
4) Install rear 2 axle shafts and drums
5) Install the "New to me" 33/12.5/15 BFG M/T tires
6) Bleed brake system
7) Install both drive shafts when I get them back from whatever shop I take them to.
8) Take out for a test drive. And drive truck around for a week till I reach approx 500 miles
9) Do a diff oil change on both axles.
10) Celebrate with a few brews and an off-road trip to Big Bear.

As of right now while sitting on blocks the trucks hood reaches my chest. And when we put my future rims and tires up next to the hub it is still too short. This truck is gonna be about 2 inches taller then what it currently sits at on with those wood blocks. Ita chest high And I'm 5'8"! I honestly didn't expect it to be this tall. Not saying I don't like the height. I absolutely love it lol Just didn't think it was gonna be so damn tall hahahaha. Totally loving the way its turning out! I'm gonna need a roll out latter by the time we get done with this lol. Its probably gonna be as tall as Rubens truck! And I'm on 33's he has 35's! Can u imagine when I do upgrade to 35's..... wow...... can't wait! So anxious.

I dont know what he would charge, but see what he says if u tell him we will all in LA bring our stuff ro him for custom work when sas-ing, etc. Just need a healthy price to recommend. Hes HIGHLY respected from all the pros I speak with around me in that field (suspension and such)..... but if u can get it cheaper and u trust his work, why not, .....either way, ya know? Might be cheaper to buy one, outright, ya know? Lol.

Oh yea I know which thread you're talking about. It was for a rear bumper. It had fitment issues with their factory fabbed parts. Sucks. It really does because I like their bumpers a lot. I'd hate to run into a similar problem.

Yea! Plasma cutter made things much easier. I think I would have hated to do that with grinder wheels. Lol how many did you go through to get the brackets all cut off? Had to be a ton lol I went through 4 small 4" wheels in just cutting off the 2 rear spring perches the other day and still had to my big one too haha!

Yea its painted just not as glossy as the hoops. I'm thinking about possibly taking a scrubber to it in the future and just redoing it because i kind of just painted over dirt in some parts lol.

Thanks Mark. I'm gonna see what these guys by my city charge first sincevits literally on the drive home. Hopefully they hook it up. But i like your idea. Have everybody that gets lifts or SAS' s done go to your guy for a cheaper price. If he agrees to that deal that is.

Trust me, he doesn't really "need" to make deals to get biz, he's well known, but very down to earth/two rotty's in the yard, etc. , lol. ... but it cant hurt to ask, right? I just like using ppl with great reputations, even if it costs me a lil more, so I know I'll be satisfied. ... I'm sure ur guys are fine, probably skilled if Ruben likes em.

On the bumper? Hmmmmm, I just dont wanna have to do anything but bolt/then weld it on... Having to put it together kinda urks me, but I get the point.... And they ARE nice. I still think in stuck between ARB's frony and rear or 4Xi's rear and tg front with a small stinger. I wish they made an Iron Bull for older toys.... SICK! Lol. .... bit they dont. Plus, I have to keep future mods oin mind as t g ey change things, like a 1" body lift to run a 1UZ, etc. 3RZ wouldnt change much, but I thing sas does maybe? Anyway, I wanna do it AFTER A I'M SURE what this girl will sit like for sure, ya know? Blakes is like urs, and the Tg ones look great.

I hear ya Bubba! Well to tell you the truth i might just end up using the guy near us. He is very close. and i pass by the street where the shop is at every day on my drive home from work. Its just convenient.

As for the Bumpers go. If i were to do a different type of bumper other then CBI i will definitely go for the WARN front bumper. its the closest one to the look i wanna get out of mine if i cant have a CBI. But Ruben also said he'd try to help the best he can with whatever else i might need work on such as sliders and bumpers.

Got the huge A$$ wheel spacers on already.

Guys Wheel spacers are a must if you plan to use the V6 caliper. Look at where my finger is on this picture. and you'll understand. Obviously you dont need to go as wide as me. Only reason im using 3" spacers is because the guy i bought the axle off of included them. But 1" -1.5" is all you really need. 1.5" is standard in Axle swap kits. if not i think they sell them for about $70ish.

Ruben Welding on my new spring perches.

He also had to semi Fab a longer bolt only this piece here. It has to do with my Ebrake. mine was too short so he added on another 3 inches or so by just welding on another bolt lol.

Thats all we got done for today.
Tomorrow, i go to Toyota Masters to pick up my rear 3rd member.
I'ma head straight to Rubens house and we're gonna install the 3rd, then put in both axle shafts. Screw in both brake lines and attack ebrake wires. Put diff fluid in both axles. Bleed the brake lines. PUT MY 33's ON! and then measure the distance between the end of the rear driveshaft to the tip of the 3rd. and see how much long i need to make it.

Once we figure that out im gonna take both driveshafts to the shop and wait the longest wait of my life to finally be able to install and drive this bad boy! JEEZ WE'RE SO CLOSE TO BEING DONE! I CAN SEE IT ALREADY! I'm gonna treat my baby to a nice car wash and wax for going through with this serious surgery she just came out of. WOOOO! Super anxious right now.

Anywho, i'm off now guys. gonna take my Girlfriend, Faby, out to celebrate. She passed her test for bartender. Probably take her out for nails, eating and idk play it by ear i guess.
