Red, I wish I had the cash to have two sets. Some AT's would be nice for long trips like the one I took. There was a lot of pavement between dirt.

I could only afford one so I compromised street performance.

I love both my BFG- MT's & AT/KO's, RAD. For the light more abuse conscious wheeling it sounded like u would be doing..... plus the longevit y u wud get from em, gotta say, still love my bfg at's. This is a loaded topic that usually leads to arguments and butthurt moments, lol, so I will stop at "MY PRRSINAL EXEPERIENCE"'hehe.

Foe realllly good value and great reviews, might go In the middle with www.treadwright.com guard dawgs

Thanks a lot dude. Really appreciate comments like that. I've put in so much work into this truck since I first bought it and I'm glad its really paying off. I remember what a disastrous wreck this truck was when I first bought it. My mom was pissed off talking all kinds of crap about my bucket lol. But I had a vision of how I wanted this truck to look and all the mods I wanted. And so I kept with it. And its funny because just recently after about 1 year she fInally got Into my truck and she was amazed and gave me major props on the restoration I've done to it. it really made me feel good. I know my dad and brothers were surprised I've pulled all this stuff off myself too.
Best feeling in the world. Haha

Hi CDN I cant afford new tires either. I bought my Sport King A/T tires off a guy on craigslist for about $150 with still about 1cm of tred left. Then you can always find tires at junk yards. Thats where I found my 5th Sport King tire for my spare. Bought the Tire with the SR5 rim for about $45. Or $60. You just gotta look for them. Mark and Grego can tell ya the same. We see them all the time. Not always in the best shape, but once in a while there is a good set of well preserved tires. And thats when you gotta jump on them. As for my future BFGoodrich M/T tires. I'm gonna get handy downs from my neighbours. The guy's son upgraded to 35's a while back ago and has just had them sitting in the back yard for a while now. They have something like 7 or 8 33/12.5/r15. Tires with 3 black steel rims. And all range from 2cm to 4cm tred left. So those will last me a nice long time. Cant wait to see those nice beefy tires on my rig haha!

I do plan to upgrade to 35's eventually whenever the tred runs out for all the handy downs. I'll keep a set of 33" A/T's to match my future 4.88 gears for both the street and better mileage
and i'll upgrade to something like your tires for my off road set.

Sounds good Mark. I never really thought about a mod like that. But when you explained it to me i guess that makes sense, especially if you are gonna be crossing rivers and mud.

A little something my girl and I did today.
Because I'm gonna be going on that off road trip I wanted to make the bed of my truck a little more cushioned since we're going to be sleeping in there also wanted to get this done because I feel bad for the dogs every time theyre in the back. Because the carpet was just sitting on the metal.
So I bought some 3/8" thick padding from Harbor Freight. Cut the padding to shape of my carpet. Put the padding on the very botton then the carpet on top so you can't it.

It feels so much better now. And with the 2 memory foam mattresses that I plan to use will definitely give us plenty of cussion to sleep on. Thatll be 4" of memory foam. Plus I will also have a few comforters ontop of that. Then about 4-5 heavey furry blankets to keep us warm.

Woo I cant wait. This is gonna be really nice. Here are the pix.

Nice simple solution to a real problem, well done.

if you spray adhesive some of those space blankets (thing HF has those too) to both sides of the foam it'll be abit more temp' stable, just a suggestion.

Have fun!

Thanks Co_94. Thats not a bad idea. I was also thinking about putting something to fill those gaps on the bedthat run from front to back. I was thinking that might be something like air pockets.

Hi William. Man it is so much better lol
I'm just happy my knees don't hurt while being back there anymore. But most of all, I'm happy my dogs will ride a lot more confortable now when I take them hiking.

I'm actually planning to take my youngest dog on this off-road trip. I know she will really love it. So that's another plus because I know she will ride comfortably on the super long drive.

There is that insulated bubble stuff, might be able to cut strips and double it up. Not sure how deep those ridges are, or the thickness of that material. I can tell you for sure laying on stuff that is not flat is the pits..

Nice! Way to think :-) Looks great man! Practical and cheap too, woot!

I still have to lay down my frost king on tje bottom and then fill in the grooves with that closed cell foam, but even with just the thermoshield its so much better on the knees, I can rotally relate

Ive heard about the salton sea, it seems like a desolate place?? But sounds fun. You guys in cali are lucky to have so many awesome spots and different terrains to wheel.

thanks for the tip. I have seen a few threads of people using that stuff uoure talking about. That sounds good. Thats actually what I plan to use in the future. I wanna insulate the truck to keep warmth in during winter and freshness in during summer. This little thing is just gonna be temporary. At least untill I do get around to buying that stuff. I wanna use it throughout the bed, walls of the bed, and something I'm possibly consodering(if it's not too heavy) is using it on my hard top ceiling. Putting that up before I install the headliner material. Still need to research it this stuff though.

Definitely right on the cheap factor. I dont think I spent more then $5-10 on that. Padding. I know u can definitely relate lol u said you sleep in your bed too. I van only imagine sleeping on that thing without it. Ouch.

Hey Mark btw, where did uou say that headliner material was sold at? By the PepBoys near your house? If so would those rolls of the material be enough for a 4Runner hard top? I wanna do this headliner before the trip. That'll be really nice to have because I am always freezing in the mornings when I get into my truck. I'm sure that would be at least of a little help.

Hahahahah, I love how u toss the leaky master in there! Lol. ..

Not sure on the headliner... call them and see the measurements/or get them online from them?

It will maybe help, but the panels back there, being metal and all, theyre the other warmth killers! Lol

Not being a smartyoants.... but go to my build.... I copy and pasted TONS of info already on this, from Corax and other gurus of the sort. 92-95 master from 4Door 4Runner. SOME T100 Masters are 1", but many are 1 and 1/16" bore... which leaves the pedal rock hard without the dual diaphragm booster, which I'm prettttty sure ur year didnt have yet.... As the pic seems to show. Just go to my thread, go back a few pages til u see that post with quotes and a list, etc... Now I know u arent visiting me over there. ......hahahahaahaa. jk... Pretty easy repair, tons of info on the install. Even the haynes isnt bad.... BUT,.... the lines have to be wiggled and bent a lil to reach the new master.... no cutting or adding lines, just tugging a bit, hahah. Oh, and the connector is different, as I mentioned in the phone. Gonna look for that for ya, today. .. keep intouch or I might forget

I would buy new.... ONLY reason I grabbed this one was cuz he/she had just had a new master put on and the fluid was reallllly clean. Aisin is the way to go, and I just wish they hadnt punctured and tore off the reservoir, cuz it was clean! Butt wadds! Lol.
