Today im gonna go to the recycling place to get some $$$ for my old hood. Anything money for it will help. better then just throwing it away and getting nothing for it. I'll just use it toward gas.

Oh wow I never got a email notification on these last 3 updates to my thread ^-^
@ Terry, Grego, Toyo thanks for dropping by. You guys made me laugh. I think that's what I'll say from now till i get it painted lol
An update on my car: my signal light fixtures finally came in. And I went to autozone and bought some new bulbs. Today was the first time in a while that I've driven my car. I miss it's smoothness and it's loud sound system.
---------------------------------------------

Finally an update for my truck:
My Marlin crawler package finally arrived yesterday. I got my rear V6 8 inch Spartan locker. Woohoo! I also got the plastic shifter lever piece that goes on the tip of the shift lever. I don't know if you guys recall but my last marlin crawler order I only ordered the shifter lever seat.
I got around to installing it last night. During removal my old bushings ripped on me so I need to order that too. Another thing that happened was when putting my shifter back into the tranny with its new tip apparently I didn't put it on snug enough so the piece got stuck deep within the transmission. It took me a good 15 minutes to get it back out. I just had to push to shift lever down as hard as I could down into the hole for that plastic tip to get hold back onto the lever. Was just a pain in my arse to do lol. But I gave it a test drive after I was done and immediately noticed the great smooth shifting and firm hold it has. I'm happy with the job. Best $20 I've ever spent.
Maybe now my shift lever won't pop out of gear. :-)

Ill take a picture of the carwhen I get home.
The truck on the other hand. I didnt take any pictures while installing. I was doing it about 10pm last night on the street. I just wanted to hurry up and get it done so I didn't take any.

I'll take a picture of my Spartan locker for yahoo though

I forgot to post up the pix earlier.
Here is my v6 8" Spartan locker pix

Hard to believe that the small pieces in this box costed $320 huh. lol
All i know is that, although its an expensive piece, once its in use i will never regret it. >.<
At least i know its durable. Mark has put it to the test to prove it.

SEXY! lol.... Hey, .... that lil thing can be the difference, not only of getting over TONS of crap you can't without it(as you've seen)... BUT, MUCH further.... can be the difference between sitting in your rig upside down.... and sitting it in right side up at the top of whatever 'it' was, ya know? Remember when I had you lock me in while on that one talc powder angled hill? Without that spartan and gears? Well, let's just say I'd have been navigating backward down that NASTY hill, through nasty MESQUITE, ...PRAYING I didn't get 'pulled' into a soft line one way or the other as I went. NO KIDDING! hahaha. And you saw, I was creeping.... and even locked, WOW! So, imagine if I wasn't? Just be careful on the street, ya feel me? They're not super happy about turning corners hard, lol.

Mark Cyberhorn, Grego. Toyo thanks for dropping by.
Grego Muahhahaha. Dont feel too bad. It's still gonna be a while before I'm able to get it in. This one is for my rear axle. I still need to order the 4.88s for the rear. Not to mention the I still need to buy the rest of my SAS stuff. So all this is doing is just motivating me to gather the rest of the parts. I'm just gonna be waiting for a few more months before I finally install it. also I'm still waiting on my neighbor to get time so we can finally remove his AuburnGear locker for my front axle. Once I get his used locker I'll finally be able to start with that front axle. Once I get it I'll send in the 3rd member to a shop to have my 4.88's installed with his locker. Then when I get that back I'll begin the axle rebuild.
I already have the rebuild kit at home too. Woot!!! Lol

Toyo, originally my plan was to get 2 Detroit lockers. Unfortunately those cost too much especially with all the future expenses I'll have coming up too So I researched and researched and found that Spartan lockers are made by Yukon. And Yukon I know well to be a great, reliable, durable brand. Then I found that Chefyota also has a Spartan in his rear axle and I've seen it put to the test first hand. So to tell u the truth marks truck is what made my decision final on getting one of these.

Mark, that first trip to angels crest really made me feel helpless with no locker lol. Seeing you go up that rock garden terrain while i kept getting stuck bummed me out. Not to mention all my off road friends have Detroit lockers in both front and rear axles so I have always wanted to be locked on both too. Just to be able to keep up with their rigs hahaha. A bit of friendly competition for ya lol. I at least wanna be able to handle what your truck can handle if not more when the SAS/Lift is done. Seeing your truck surpass me every time is motivation enough. But seeing the truck parts stacking up in my room is what's really getting me going because I put them somewhere where I have to see it every day so it annoys me to remind me that "Hey it's December and your truck still ain't finished... what the heck.... get too it. Lol"

William, it is pretty small. I expected the parts to be much bigger. Considering the size of that box lol. Kind of threw me off at first. I actually did research to make sure I wasn't missing pieces cuz it scared me for a bit hahaha.

Whats up JMC. I haven't seen you on YotaTech for a while. Hope you didn't call it quits on your 4Runner. And yea I've been trying to get as much as i can done lately. One thing i just haven't had time to get around to is the power windows. I have my finished door panels ready for install. I just need to figure out my wiring. Once i figure that out ill be set and ready to install everything. i cant wait.

I'm honestly thinking about taking the last 3 sick days i have left this year just to figure this wiring out. probably take tomorrow through Friday off. I really wanted to save those days for an off-road trip, but i don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon. I might as well use those days up on something constructive. If not, i'll just end up losing the days at the end of the year.

Oh hey BTW. It just donged on me while reading through my thread. I never told you guys about that infamous knocking noise and grinding noises my truck was making a few pages back. It just stopped out of no where about 1&1/2 months ago. It doesn't grind or tap. Whatever the problem was it's not there anymore(i hope). Maybe it had something to do with the breaking in process?

well thats good grinding isnt a sound one needs to hear knocking is even OMG worse lol

the 90 we have every winter has some kind of growling drag in the front its intermittent not the shafts which have been replaced over the years but you can feel it drag a bit as you let off the gas neither side pulls so its been very hard to find and it only happens when its been cold (like less than 35F)

Hey Richard.... COME FIX MY PASS. SIDE WINDOW! lol... Jk... well kinda, lol. NOPE, I'm not kidding, GET OVER HERE! haha.

Anyway, just messin with ya, obviously... but I have to figure out why I can't seem to find a WORKING donor switch on that side.. That's something I ALWAYS forget. It rolls down fine for them.... But I have to roll it up. Not a biggie, but I don't know.... You know me, I want everything PERFECT HEHEHEHE.

I tried a donor, it smoked and then didn't work at all. Something must be crossed or something.... I'ma clean up my switch when I pull the panel to get the lock cyl numbers.. Just need to figure that one out... WOULD HATE to have it down and on a rainy/muddy day... and POOF, stops working all together. BUT, then again, after 11 years owning it..... and it NEVER stopping working(just never rolled up from their switch)... I think it's ok. Just wanna fix it.... SO COME ON, FIX IT MAN! lol. hahaha... Again, jk.

Nice to see your girl coming together.... (Your sweet lil Fab is already together, just fine, lol.... Obviously mean your transforming, nicely, "Mr. Kingsford" lol. )

PS> HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you and all you December Babies!

Just wanted to point out this typo right here.............

"Oh hey BTW. It just &*#!@$ on me while reading through my thread..........."

You HAVE to watch that new phone button pressing! lol. (I didn't spell it cuz.... someone might immortalize it on me, lol..... Just thought I'd toss it out there so you could fix it before that happens, lol... Call me OCD, sure, fine, lol... But TRUST ME, it happens! hehe.

Anyway........... Just wondering if you've found the FSM..... It has a bit more than the Haynes on 'procedure for troubleshooting windows and door locks' and 'all the wiring therein', 'connectors', etc., etc.........

If you'd like a copy for yourself(not sure why you never downloaded it... you silly, silly man! hahaha, jk)... anyway, if you want it, I'll gladly load it on a disc for ya and you can come pick it up tomorrow, k? Lemme know.

Sorry I couldn't be there to walk you through all that...., but hopefully it helped(I say hopefully, cuz I was going by the "off the top of my head" files.... that's scary! ) .

HANG IN THERE.... YOU'LL GET IT, BUD! Or should I say... "It will all dawn on you" hehehe.
