Yea they are in Idaho
CBI Offroad Fab

Ya know I think that is probably the only reason i would get the Light Guards on this order. But i dont care too much for the look of it with them. Who knows. im sure it would look hella different if i were to have nicer lights and winch huh. After all thats what makes the 1st picture look so awesome.

Btw you're right. Cyberhorn does live in Idaho. Dunno if its close by or not. But that would definitely be something to look into if he's interested. LUCKY!!!

Edit:
Actually just mapquested it. Its about 182miles away from his house going one way. lol That's one a hell of a long drive round trip!

yep i just looked it up too north east idaho im down near nevada lol its always over an hour to anywhere in idaho LOL

i have to admit without the guards thats a very nice design IMO if they had done square tubing instead of round tube on such an angular bumper it would have looked better for headlight an grill guards (all the angles makes it look like one of the stealth fighters) also not much protection for the side marker

Lol you and me had the same idea. Look like a stealth fighter. Haha. I was also thinking that it doesn't look too safe on the edges where those markers are. That's the only thing i didn't really like about the bumper. But I think it'd still be worth getting. I'm not a crazy driver anyway. The beautiful look of it makes up for that thought lol.
I guess so long as nobody crashes me from the side or have some sort of off road accident I should be good right.

no but if you have a good welder you could add a bit to those corners provide the protections our old runners need at the corners (i just spent weeks fixing the corner of mine i know)

if it were mine to do i just hit the lottery wishing here
1. id box the corner no open area underneath a weak spot and would get caught on something out wheeling for sure an that would rip things lose this would also beef up the corner of the body protection
2. make the corner guards removable easyer cleanups an repairs isnt that much more work and no cutting things off if they do get bent
3. have the corner guards run from the corner of the bumper to the corner marker not just end at the corner marker leaving the majority of the corner marker unprotected
4. as part of a daily driver move the little round LED turn dots to the corners of the bumper an put in bigger ones in front so other drivers can see ya turning

just IMO

Urgh....... Been thinking really hard all day today. And as much as I want this bumper. Especially on the discounted price. I am not gonna get it.
Getting that Solid axle and 4" lift installed takes priority over any other drastic mods like the bumper. I have 1/2 of the stuff I need for the job and need to order the rest. So with the money I don't use on this beautiful bumper I will then use on buying another set of 4.88 gears and another locker for he rear axle. At least those will be out of the way after.

After all I know ill be more satisfied and happy that such a huge drastic job is finally over with then just getting a bumper. So I'm gonna bite my tongue on this one and let it go. I can always get it later. But for now this other project has already begun and needs to get finished before I begin another expensive upgrade.
That's my decision. Woo.... That one was hard. Lol
But I do have a lot on my plate atm.
1) SAS/4" Lift
2) Power windows/mirrors
3) Fixing my Corolla
4) Paying off the debt from rebuilding my truck's motor and upgrades.

So ill stick to this first before I move on to anything else

Alright guys. Today i went on Marlin crawler and bought myself a 8" Spartan Locker for my rear axle. Woot! Also bought the other half of my shifter piece. In my last order I only the shift lever ball seat. Today I got the shift lever bushing. So now ill at least have a firm, new feeling to my shift lever like Mark's.
Those 2 parts came out to $328.
I'm thinking of ordering my 4.88 gears for the rear axle too since I already have the ring and pinion for he rear. I might buy that one with the next paycheck.

I'm just happy because this is just one step close to my locked front & rear axles, SAS and lift.
After this I need to order what I still need for my SAS kit and also the shocks. But I'm gonna buy that stuff all together since all that will be off the trailgear website.

Plus I have that Pick your part junk yard sale coming up and i still need to get the bumpers and hood for my car.
Yep. I'm happy now.

Oh yea dude. Well I figure the CBI bumper would probably come out to $550-600 total. So why not use the money from that toward the parts I still need to get. So yea screw that bumper for now. I gotta get my first couple of tasks out of the way first ya know. So this'll bring me closer to my dream capabilities for my truck. Can't wait!

holy crap. I just left the small Wilmington junk yard and now just arrived at the big junk yard. It seems like everybody and their mothers are here! I've never been at one of these 50% off weekends. This is ridiculous! Lol

I only found one Toyota Corolla at he small one and the whole front end was crashed. Bummer.... Also no 1st gen 4runner or pickups. hopefully I have better luck at the bigger yard

Thanks William. There wasn't anything at the first 2. I'm hitting up the Anaheim and stanton yards now. Geez parking is horrible at all of these places. Literally gotta park 2-3 blocks away. -_-

I really wish I would have brought a dolly. My arms are sore from carrying my tools around everywhere. Plus when I do buy the parts I need, if I ever find them, I'm gonna have to carry all of it back to my truck.

I'm serious. You would swear this plae was Disneyland the way it is right now lol. Totally packed!

Sweet I found me a white Toyota Corolla with a decent hood and bumpers.

I got the front bumper with Styrofoam back piece, both headlights, 2 light brackets that I needed for my passenger side and my hood.
I also grabbed the AC button cover and the ash tray. My car has never had those. I stashed those in my bag. Lol. So what I did get only came out to $101.28 with the 1/2 off sale. Hell yes! Woot woot

Unfortunately I got jipped for the rear bumper. A-holes asked if I was taking the whole front end and I answered back, I'm taking the hood, headlightss and both front and rear bumpers. And what do they do. They took the rear anyway. I was pissed off. But they had 4 guys and it was just me. Not to mention I didn't wanna get kicked out and blow my chances at getting a front end.
So I just let them have it.

Things i still need: both front turn signals, rear bumper. I think that I can fox the slightly bent passenger fender. So i didn't buy the fender. I just need to bend it back to its normal position. And I didn't find any 4runners at all again. Just my Luck lol. At least I found stuff for my car.
----------------------------------------

Terry I feel your pain. I see what you guys tell us on YotaTech and I feel bad for you all. I can't imagine not having these places lol. I know we have 6 around here that I go to. And I know theres more around too.

If it makes u feel any better, we have a hard time finding 1st gen 4runners and pickups too.

Alright guys I installed my new to me Hood, headlights, and front bumper. Was a lot more time consuming then i thought it was gonna be. so many screws and brackets you gotta work with. lol
I hate the look of 2 different colors, but hey at least i can drive it now and i'm gonna be saving gas now. Here is how it sits now.

As you can see the bumper and hood are in really decent shape. No clear coat pealing at all. Only small little knicks from asphalt and pebbles getting kicked up from the road. I'm gonna order my turn signals later on tonight. I've bought them before and i know they go for about $15. So i got that covered. Next thing on the list is the rear bumper.
Once i get that bumper i'll take the car to have those parts painted so the whole car matches again. For the mean time i guess i'm just gonna be driving around this eyesore lol
