WOOT for the salvation for the dog and....
WOOT for the Power extravaganza and.....
WOOT for the super spring haggala! Lol...
Grrrrrr, for the funds drought!
....sux! Been there many times. That's a tough decision to make, and many have to, often.
But yeah, maybe they will finance ya? Many vets do. ... And I have a really great vet near me that did both of my larger dogs ears when she had hematoma of both ear flaps...
... Everybody wanted like up to $500 because they basically open the ear up and burn every capillary closed... They did it for $150! Here is their number in case you want to just give them a call and see if they'll do it for a lot less. Just be sure to tell them that your parents are going to put the dog down if you can't find somewhere to do it at a price you can afford or at least with some kind of financing....

i think you should stuff the rear tire before deciding if you need to flip the springs. when the tire is compressed it will move back. so that extra room may be a benefit
sorry to hear about your dog. i know mines are trail buddies so i cant go anywhere without them hope he gets all fixed up

I read right past that, Richard...
When we're at normal height, we don't really notice that the axle on each side will stuff and a direction a couple degrees back from 90 degrees... In other words it angles towards the rear away from perpendicular to the center of the wheel well. As you increase the distance of lift, the angle is the same that the axle travels, but the distance is definitely going to be greater "to the rear" so it can make contact in certain situations... One way you can notice this is when you stuff the tires you'll see how it can literally come right next to the mud flaps. When you lift them and angle things more, as well as flipping the packs, it happens even more. I can't even keep my mud flaps at this point without some major pinch weld hammering... Or coming up with some homemade stuff
haha. .. That is usually done on purpose, where the axle is slightly forward, but just barely noticeable.
You set the center first and then mount the front and rear at the same time with a couple tack welds and then compress it over and over, until you get it just right... Yes, that would maybe have brought you're front and rear mounts slightly back from where they are. I'm guessing that you are using your original hanger in the rear? I think that's what you said...Sorry I forget. .... Anyway, if that's the case then for sure it probably moved the front hanger further forward then AllPro specs.
From what you were telling me on your trips it doesn't sound like you had any issues with contact in the rear did you?

I might have an angle meter, but I'm sure your father has 1... You could probably, only if you needed to of course, just move them back with your pops. I need to look at some pictures again because I don't remember it being so dramatically forward.... Let me go back and look at your new pictures

Thanks for all the support guys. The vet is allowing us to make 100 payments to him. So so long as we write out checks i think we'll have proof enough to show that we paid him in full over time ya know. My Rottie isnt sick at all. Just has an infection. so that is not enough reason to put her down especially after being in the family for 8 years. i seriously cant see how my dad could just make the decision so uncaring like that. I really couldnt believe it. but tough times make things harder to afford so i understand. but I grew up really close to that dog. its more my dog then it is theirs. and i would be heart broken if i knew i didnt do anything to save her.
As for my truck. Toyo How did you know thats what i had planned to do today hahaha. I set up a ramp in front of my house. I went up on the side walk, then up the car ramp, and set the 2nd ramp up higher to give me a big flex in the rear.
Concluded that i amd gonna be just fine the way the leaf springs are set up. I'm happy with how it stuffs in the wheelwell. Here ya go guys. Some poser flex shots

Shocks in the front end were bottomed out. I will use this same technique later on in the week to put my bump stops. i dont want to screw up my shocks by bottoming them out all the time when im this flexed out.

Sheeeesh look at that beautiful bumper. That Tire swing gives the truck a whole new look for the better.

EDIT:
BTW the height of that ramp was 24.5" total from the floor. 6" sidewalk, and 9&1/4" each metal ramp.

About your dog...wow. I have a Lab/Weimaraner mix female that gets her anal glands clogged. The clue is when they scoot. I take her to the vet frequently to get it "expressed." Yuk. There are vids on YouTube on how to do it with rubber gloves of course. If money were tight I'd learn to do it. Once you've changed diapers you can do anything. IMO $600 sounds ridiculous. What did he do to treat it? A massive dose of antibiotics? Maybe you should call around town, like the poor side of town and find a vet who is a little cheaper. You are a great guy for bailing that poor dog out.

Looks pretty bitchin! Very cool homemade ramp! Lol... Nice improvisation!
I think that's cool that they're willing to do a payment plan but I still think you should call the vet that I posted up... Why pay twice as much for something that is so simple?
Sorry you had to deal with that and be forced to feel that way.... There sometimes is an easy answer but I agree with you in stepping in. Gotta give the old bugger a shot as long as possible. A friend of mine just had to do hip surgery on his dog... Something like $4000. It's a part of this family and why you're or so paying off a debt was nothing in his mind.

Our dog has had this happen to her before. Last time we got it in time where they were able to show us how to relive all the pressure ourselves. but this time i never noticed anything on her until it had finally ruptured outward. and what caught my eye was the thick puss oozing from about 1" away from her rectum. I put on the rubber gloves and squeezed out as much as i could. but like i said "it ruptured" so she needed surgery. They told us that once it heals for us to take her back to the vet to have them completely removed. They said that the anal glands are useless glands. but they cant remove them while its infected because the infection can spread. so for us to wait till it healed up then once its healthy again they will cut them out.
Mark the reason i didnt go for that link is because we had already taken her back to the vet at this point. so it was too late because they had already started on her. Thank you though. I will save this link and possibly change vets. because this guy is ridiculously expensive. Thank you Mark

Yeah, my dad and step mom have always had ˟˟˟˟su dogs..... They almost all get that problem and it has to be maintained or it wind up just like what you're dealing with right now. I'm sorry the poor pup has to deal with that... Probably be a little sore for a few days.
By the way for some reason either Google or get a text Auto edit made the breed of dog look like a su. Lol. ... Since I guess they won't let me spell it I better just pronounce it... Sheeet-Sue... Or maybe I could do this and they won't catch it... Shiitsu........? Lol

Oh no problem! I went through the very same thing with the ears because my stepfather didn't want to spend $300 to save her life... In fact while that can cause them to bleed out or clot and have strokes and such... It's really more about them suffering horribly with ears full of blood! I was so ticked off that I took her down and then forced him to give me the papers and I put her in my name. I took her camping and to the beach and she actually got to chase of black bears in the Angeles Crest on a camping trip that I took my daughter with me... She stood right up to the bear who was trying to get her baby to come down from a tree right in our campsite, and the bear literally ran off without her cub. I was worried about her because of obvious reasons... But she could care less and was so protective but she would rather die than let this bear toss our stuff around the campground! Lol.
I had already watched him let a cat suffer for weeks when he should have just paid a little bit to put her down... I just had had enough. But I realize later that he's just from a totally different school of thought and I knew that he love the dog it just was due to him being in prison camps and so forth... He could not see spending part of the Social Security check on getting the dog fixed.

Couldnt find anything on how you like your lockers, but how are they on the street? Also how is the front one offroad? Just asking because my buddy has a locker in the front, and it doesnt like to unlock when hes steering.

Sucks about your stepdad letting the cat suffer like he did. I wouod never let them suffer.
Thanks tuef. I think it flexed out a little bit better with these considering there were no added leafs.
Does your friend drive with his Manual Aisin hubs in the locked position. and in 4x4? because that will definitely cause that problem. i know it happens to mine.

Man your bumper turned out sweet, I love the way it looks with the spare tire carrier/license plate holder and jerry can, you and your pops really planned it out and did an excellent job on building it!
Nice flex pics, looks like your 4runner will be more than ready for your next offroad adventure!!! Reading thru your's, Mark's and Teuf's build threads, and talking about setting up your bump stops made me laugh.... I SAS'd my 4runner almost a year ago and still haven't set up mine, LOL!... I even have a new set of stops still in the box from Trail Gear, just need to get a U-bolt flip kit, lol.
