I like those rims...
Are you going to groove the rear tires?

Thanks! I like the rims too. Cant beat the weight of aluminum. These tires and wheels are lighter than my 35 on steelies. Plus.. I got em for 70 bucks for all 4. HAha.

I am going to groove the rears, and re do the fronts. They were grooved when I got them. The grooves are less than 1/4 deep. Im not going to groove the center lugs, just open up the spaces between the lugs and take the wear bars out.

Picking up new exhaust manifold studs tomorrow from the dealer. Had a heck of a time finding studs with the hex on the end, could only get them from Toyota.

Im also getting very close to getting a cage made. Decided to keep the cab and front windshield, so a mild exo will some soon.

Ill put up a video tomorrow, but I ran it around tonight. New 02 sensor solved the running rich problem. Sportster exhaust is on, and sound pretty much identical to the flow master.

Pulled the front fenders for a bit.. Likin the narrow look.

From the drivers seat, I couldnt see the back of the frame/ rear passenger tire, so I adjusted the back of the cab a bit.

Played around a bit this am, then drove it down the road to a friends shop for the next step. (less than 2 miles on a dirt road) Ran great, felt really good to drive this again.

Thanks man! Its going to be more than a bed cage, its will be a full exo. But tight under the front fenders, they why I took them off. Well see how it works out

One more vid, same hill as before but first time we attempted it that day, had to back down and hit it again.

Thanks rusted83!

Got some more bent up last night. Did the lower window bar too, but that didnt make it into the picture. The front fenders will go back on with some minor trimming.

I was way more excited about the new pieces leaving the shop, but looking at the pics now, it looks a little "jungle gym-y" but it didnt look that tall in person. Maybe Ill see if I can lower down above the roof a bit tonight. The doors will need work to go back on, as the hinges were removed for tube placement, but the top bar goes over the roof and back a bit, so I can continue to dent up whats left of the cab.

Thanks doods!

Lower window bar on! Had to trim the hood a bit to get it to open and I have a tad bit of passenger side wiper notching to get it to go all the way down, but its position was good. Then moved the upper window bar down 1.5 inches. Helped the look a lot. Last for the night was the center roof bar.

are you going to place a vertical bar from the slider to the main roof hoop? about where the door and small window meet? just curious...

BC- No plans for a b pillar at this point in time. More tube work will be done down the line when I get some real seats and harnesses. And I want to keep denting up the cab a but more.

Kornhusker- yes, thats where the tank is staying. Welder is a Miller Autoset 220.

Back up the hill, we pulled the exo off with the excavator and did the finish welding and primered it.

Bed floor will be some sort of expanded metal, or some thin plate.

Ive got some other issues to deal with too. Need to adjust the front bumpstops, and my passenger side valve cover is leaking, and either the clutch rubber line or the slave or both are leaking too. But I should be able to fix those pretty quick.
