Dad's truck is so clean. I'm jealous of his on board air setup !!

Thats a crazy amount of pressure. I need to do that Mod to mine!!!

We need to convince your dad into letting us lift his truck!! Mild 3" or 6" or SAS or something. Real mild. 36's or 39's or something. HAHA

Your dads truck is a clean looking truck. I have been a day late and a dollar short on some deals and it is frustrating.

I just discovered Mistys boot was torn today. grrr, not sure what caused it to go. It can be a trick to getting them out sometimes.

I just cleaned underneath mine the other day. I think next winter to help keep salt off, I am going to save my old oil from oil changes and get like a bug sprayer and cover the under side with next year. Where are you seeing rust at on your dads truck? Body or underneath?

THis is a very good idea Terry. I actually wanted to do this before winter this year to all my vehicles but never got around to it.

My brother-in-law does this to his ford and uses a shutz gun with the can on the bottom to hold the used oil. I would rather do it how you described with a pump sprayer of some sort. My only concern is it being to thick for the tip to actually spray.

My old college roommate used to do this and also added some stuff into the use oil like wax or some sort of wax that allowed it to really stick to the underside of the vehicle. I should try to get in touch with him and find out what it was.

I have so much used oil we could do Chris's runner and truck and the whole town. haha

Thanks Gizler, if the bug sprayer doesnt work I will try a shutz gun ( what is it?) or I have even thought of coating with wheel bearing grease or something similar. Then during the summer, take a set of car ramps to the car wash and give it a good cleaning underneath. When it gets warmer, I still want to take mine to the carwash with ramps and I do that every summer anyways and have never had a problem with rust.

Also make sure the drain holes in your rocker panels are clear as well. They are the little "V" notch between the rockers and the frame. Those get clogged easily.

Ahhhh great info on the drain holes!!!Didnt know that...

As for dads truck there is one qaurter sized bubblage of paint/rust on the rear rocker on the passenger side, for the most part its rust free but i told him to be aware and take care of it before it progresses to any more severity.

So when i left work today with the runner i needed some firewood for the shop and when i tried the rear window it didnt work!!So i thought the lock button might have been the problem but it wasnt...Found a great writeup on 4crawler and talked to Gizler and he told me to ground the solid blue wire off the switch and it worked!!!!Anyways i loaded wood into the rear seat area and still got the shop warm!!!Just needs a good cleanin now.

Thanks for the help Mark!!
