You're not doing anything different than the typical sas...............Did you get your 220V hooked up?
Ok. No i might go to menards and get the stuff i need to run 220 so i can run the miller welder instead of the 110 flux core

yes a plasma cutter would be great but i still prefer the hole saw for cutting the tube holes

You made some serious progress!
Thanks Mark! Not to bad for being by myself to do it. I do appreciate all the help that you guys have given me cause its quite a project if youve never done it before and theres definetly a fine line between doing it right and doing it wrong.

Gonna take a break today and clean up the mess in the garage and Bries been wanting me to spend time with her doing whatever i guess so whos to tell what the day entales...

So i did some more research and found that a peice of 1" emt conduit works well to run between your tubes to get proper alignment. I also read that you should have 25" between the inside distance of the tubes which leaves more of the tubes hanging out of the frame than in.

Cleaning the garage is a never ending task. I swear they clutter themselves up when you aren't around.

Totally! Especially when you do not have a shed like myself. Everything ends up in the garage.

Went to the hardware store and picked up a chunk of the EMT 1" conduit and fit nice inside the tubes. So i started on the passenger side and it was obvious that it was not sqaure with the frame so I used the end grinder to give me some clearance for adjustment and did the same with the drivers side then using my sqaure against the side of the frame for a reference until they were good. to check the horizontal sqaureness i slid the conduit through both tubes and measured from the front of the truck at the frame back to each tube until they were the same distance. The distance from inside of tubes was 25" I went ahead and tacked them in place for now. Also when i was finished the conduit slid nice and free between the tubes.

Great job buddy. You made some real quick work of that. I need to go to the store and pick up some of that conduit this morning.

Thanks Mark, always nice to get some feedback whether it be good,or bad!! I noticed on the front spring hanger there is a gap between the top of the hanger and the bottom of the frame. Think ill find a chunk of 3/16 and slide in there to tie the weld together better.

Looks like you are about ready to put the axle and shop hoops in. Looking good and you are making it look easy.

sorry man i dont have any vidoes but yea they wouldnt be very long but my s10 had the 4.3 with a 5 speed and if i got enough wood or scrap in the bed i would put it down in first and dump the clutch and when it would catch traction and pull up into a wheelie lol
