Wish I had the cash for some all pro rear lift springs and a flip kit.hate to say it but for now I may have to go with the factory springs and longer shackles or something.

On that note I got to get my hank iii shirt out and my flask ready for the rob zombie concert tomorrow.

84 looks to be in great shape. It is always a little scary when someone does a motor swap. If they do it right, it can be great but I have seen some shabby work as well on them when done wrong. I seen one where they welded the motor mounts and all to the frame. It would take a cutting torch to get that motor out if it ever needed to be pulled.

I have also seen motor mounts welded to the frame with no actual mount. It was on a wrangler that had a 383 swap in it. The guy took a flat plate and square stock and welded it right to the frame and bolted to the block.

I ran some jeep TJ front coils (no cut zuk mod) for 2 years before I got my AllPro rear springs. I cut several coils off to where they added 3" of lift to the rear and actually rode and handled pretty nice, flex was descent. I still have them, if you're interested you can have them.

Sounds like a good time

On a scale of 1to10 I give the 84 a 5or maybe 6.it was my brothers and before it got a rod knock I seen that truck do some serious tasks.and it had 33s then to.

Dang that's crazy! Sounds like it was an awesome concert!

I haven't been to a concert since about 99'-2000ish when I lived down in California. I lost my sunglasses and 20 bucks crowd surfing at a Korn/Metallica concert, lol, my brother lost the car keys, we were stranded till like 5:00am till AAA showed up and made us a new key, lol. Seems like a lifetime ago now!

Almost have the 4.3 out of the jimmy, also gonna try and use some other parts like the overhead console with the temp gauge and compass.I've sold some parts off the jimmy to make up for the cost of it.I need to decide to use the factory harness or go with a custom aftermarket like a painless,or Howell but they're like 500bucks.first I'm just gonna get it set in they're and then I can also figure out what length of shocks to run.

Nice work buddy.

Painless wiring would be sweet. But that's a chunk of change.

The harness will be easy to modify. I'm doing my 4.8 harness myself. Tons of info on how to make them work online.

Don't worry about your shocks till the end. I drove mine around for 200 miles and let everything break/settle in, then did the shocks. That way, you can set your shocks at the most beneficial angle for what your truck will sit at during normal driving. What are you doing for a front drive shaft?

If you don't want to mess with the wiring I would just send the factory harness out to modified. I think most places charge about $250. I'm gonna wire mine up, or at least that's the plan. Lol

Wiring really isnt that bad. Toyotas wiring colors can be close and confusing at times as they have some that are so close to each color. Hopefully the 4.3 colors are a little easier to read.
