I like the idea of the overhead console, I been thinking of trying to find one or build one to put in my 4runner...I think it would be cool to have a CB mounted up there. Hope you get the wiring figured out without having to drop $500!

X2 on this. It would be very cool to have that console up above. It would be cool to have it display the Engine Temp rather than the outside temperature.

Been spraying the piss out ta the ex manifold bolts on the jimmy so when I taken out they don't break, the po that had this thing half a$$d it when they rep.acec the motor, missing a engine mount t bolt, and half the bell housing bolts are only in half way,I hope they're not cross threaded.

By the way the part number on the advance adapter bell housing for the 4cyl toy trans to the 4.3 or v8 is 712560,the advanced adapter guys are very helpful and courteous!! hopefully have the engine out this weekend, very busy ...wedding,garage sale, blah blah.

So POs half butt Chevys as well? I know they do. Sometimes it takes as much effort to do it right as screwing it up. I have seen some dandy fixes out there and just makes you scratch your head.

Get Timken pilot and throwout bearings. I used off-brand bearings once. Won't ever do that again...

Bet that was a work out getting that grain truck out of the bridge. Things that happen out there is always amazing. We need a big deer kill around here. They are getting over populated and doing damage to crops and cars. The deer you guys have make ours look like rabbits. Your does are as big as our bucks. My wife likes the northern deer as they eat more corn. There is a big difference in taste on what they eat. We are having deer steak tonight for dinner. We make our own deer jerky and it doenst last long around here.
