I have a 1994 Toyota Extend cab with a 4.3 chevy motor,350 turbo transmission and chevy running gears on 33x12.50. Dual flow masters and has a solid axle . I bought the truck with it done like that. As so far the guy that done it did good with the the conversion. Its at my papaws house so no pics.

I'm trying to decide the best route on a wiring harness for the truck, its either use the factory harness with the big black vcm out of the donor 95jimmy,or I've been looking into Howell, painless,ad Jim's aftermarket harnesses.plus I have to deal with o2 sensors and vss signal for the obd2 system. TBI 4.3swap would be far easier...but it will pay off with the vortec motors higher HP and rpms.this build is getting interesting.

Removed the stock fuel tank out of the donor jimmy.I'll also get the lines and filter setup to. Dunno yet what fuel system I'm gonna run yet but having the stock setup it had won't hurt to keep around.by the way these s10s,Jimmy's,blazers all suck for clearance to get to stuff or removal. And the p.o put a new pump in and I scabbed 3gallon of fuel for my d.d.

Talked to Howell engineering today,I was told the 95computer , vcm, whatever you wanna call it cannot be reprogrammed. 92-94 is easy compared to 95. I will have to change my ignition system (distributor and coil) from the factory crank sensor ignition, which sucks cause I liked how low profile the 95 distributor was,get a aftermarket harness, computer, and custom tune. I was quoted around $650. I hate to drop the coin on it but I have a feeling it will look clean,be less of a headache,a simpler obd system, and I can delete out the vss and other crap. On that note if you want to do a CPI 4.3 swap I recommend going with the early 92-94 years, also sfi 96and up is OK to. It seems I chose a hermaphrodite year.

Yeah the adapter will work, and hopefully the clutch setup will to.its a aisin clutch disc, center force gold clutch plate, and I dunno if its a 168 or 153 tooth flywheel.it would be nice to use the stock starter off the jimmy cause its small and gear reduction like the factory Toyota one.

Or a kick start!!yea I did some stick welding in my passenger motor mount last night.I was using 6010 and I really wish I had our wirefeed dual sheild miller from work,so much easier to weld with.once I get this motor mount welded the 4.3 will be getting close to dropping in the engine bay.
Also trying g to figure out how to make the rear level with the front.I wish I could order some matching all pro spring for the rear, but I might have to wait on that and use some longer shackles and blocks for now. Also wanna flip kit,I hate how the factory u bolts snag up on everything facing downward and how the shocks mount to the leaf plate.using a flip kit you have to remount the shocks on the bottom end.
This is by far the most challenging build I've encountered on my own in the Toyota world.

Glad to hear your making progress. It can definitely be challenging at times.

Keep plugging away buddy. Maybe sell the rest of the blazer to fund the rear springs. Don't forget I want to buy those other springs from you as well. I think, since you are in no hurry, just keep building and add what you want when you can.
You are along a lot of progress with this truck. It's going to be a nasty rig when it's done.
