Those were tough trucks also. My old college roommate had an early 90's reg cab s10 2wd 4.3L 5speed. It would roast the tires to the rim while shifting up through the gears

I had to cut my bolts off of the torsion parts. They both froze up. The impact wouldn't even turn it. Nothing ol victor (aka the torch) couldn't handle tho.

I have made it a practice to once or twice a year to hit all points that could freeze up like tie rod ends, nuts and bolts and such with PB Blaster or WD-40. Anything on them is better then nothing and it doesn't take long at all to do. Some parts I may never need to remove and some I have and it has paid off several times over.

I still think that we need to start oiling everything down with the used motor oil in a spray can. It would make everything hold up and last forever. And be easier to take off.

That's weird. I don't think my order took more than a week. Maybe they are in back order?

Hey buddy! Were you able to get any time in on the axle since you got the marlin kit in? I need some pictures for motivation to do mine.

Ill post some pics tomorrow but YES i did make some headway and removed the old trunnion bearing races and the old inner axle seals. I installed the new yukon races with the ol brass drift punch and the seals with a peice of heavy wall pipe that matched up good with the seal outer face.I also cleaned up my spindles and birfeilds before i takem apart and grease them. I think ill use the good lithium moly or whatever you call it on the birfs.
