Looks like it's supposed to be there.

I have no idea where I'd like to put new cup holders. The stock one is in a terrible location. Coffee etc spilling on the electronics.

Sweet rig dude! Just got done reading through the hole post, took a bit of time haha, but best way to see what all has gone into it. Also great vids on your youtube channel and digging the music in the vids too!

Are your front grab bars (oh sh** bars) stock? My 1990 4runner doesn't have any so I've been trying to see what might fit there.

should/could work just take into account the stock rail slide has a kick down at the end. So like put a stop in it or fab so the cup hole doesn't tilt when extended. It doesn't have a great range so you'll probably wind up ditching the ashtray bits and just using the face plate and maybe rails.

DO IT DO IT :camera:

Did a trip to Crown King with a few other rigs....Yeah that's right I did it with no reverse gear lol It's been a long while since my truck has seen movement let alone dirt so was a little too excited to really take good pics but KT got a few from the co-pilot seat. It was a great trip! Started in desert landscape and climbed all the way to the top where there was at least a foot of snow and of coarse the Crown King Saloon. Nick and Dustan where un-lucky enough to get flats...This trail has always been pretty rough on tires. I suffered a flat last time I ran BFG Rugged Trails, which is what Nick was running on "The Smerf" and I believe Dustan was running some balding BFG All Terrains. Anywaaaaayyyyyyyyy

PICS

THE SMERF! LOL

So this is the 75$ transmission I picked up at the yard, all clean and just about ready to be thrown in. Looks great after a good steam cleaning lol hopefully its as healthy as it looks.

I ordered some hex head magnetic drain plugs for the trans and diff. along with a bomb proof mount. I know the mount will cause a bunch of vibration which I'm not too worried about because it's no longer a DD...but I hope it's not as bad as people make it seem. I ordered these things off of Wabfab....I read a lot of bad reviews about Wabfab AFTER I ordered of course.... :/ but you know what... I have ordered from Wabfab quite a few times with no problems...he even sent me a bunch of free stickers last time when I asked for them....and I believe he even answered a few questions I had via text message about the Wabfab BL I'm running. I have faith in the Wabbit to pull thru so hopefully he does.

anyway...currently throwing a new hub and spindle on the Legacy .....hopefully for the last time!

I forget, did you already get the bombproof motor mounts? I think you'll be fine with the transfer mount, like you said it's not your daily now. And I can guarantee your RE runs smoother than my R motor did in my 83.

I found a thread on pirate about wabfab. Wow, people have no patience.

I'm sure wabfab does tell customers to f off. I'm sure said customer might be being a tool.

I take my truck to a guy like that. I prefer his no bs attitude actually. He was also honest with me. I read bad reviews too about his attitude but I keep going back. Lots of great craftsmen have funny quirks.

Pretty good...Got the Legacy just about finished up...Corolla is SOLD... and we are just that much closer to the Chi-town move...thanks for asking Mark! BTW I'm diggin your new suspension! I don't blame you for forgetting man it's been so long! Also not having Interwebs at me casa makes it hard to update my build threads...as you can see. Hope all is well Chef!

You know after driving tons of 22re's (when I was looking for a 2wd pick up DD) I must admit...my 22re runs very healthy. I get reminded of this everytime I drive it lol. I do not have the bomb proof motor mounts yet. I want to see how the BP trans mount goes and I will decided on motor mounts after. It sucks that there is no one making just a polyurethane motor mount for our 22res. Aside from the bomb proof mount the only other choice is a GM polyurethane trans mount that you can convert to a motor mount for our trucks. Made by Energy suspension. I myself am not a big fan of the idea although I've read numerous good reviews with full write ups.

I agree with you 100% man. Theres actually a bunch of threads on a bunch of sites that bash on wabfab. Like I said....I have nothing bad to say about them seeing as I always get my parts in a timely manor..including the bomb proof motor mount with drain plugs! No pics yet but they did come in. Wab Fab is ok in my book.

TRANSMISSION - CHECK
RED LINE - CHECK
BOMB PROOF TRANS. MOUNT - CHECK
MAGNETIC DRAIN PLUGS - CHECK
CLUTCH KIT - CHECK
TIME? - not really....

Am I missing anything?

BTW...I am going to miss all the cool trucks I see out here in AZ once I move....Saw this monster last night....I wanted to ask what motor he had cause it was crazy fast....driving in the Corolla with my foot to the ground still could not catch up!

XL4RNR.... Dig it! Almost as good as this guy I know that went with "22RE"

Chi-town...AKA...windy city...AKA...CHICAGO...that's the place right??? IIRC? Any how, dude that 4RNR does look like it has some wicked fab going on. I bet it's a stock engine....just geared really low...

A comment if I may and I hope not to thread jack; WABFAB (and this isn't a total bash); I did place 2 different orders and it wasn't until I emailed him and kept bugging him that my orders were finally drop shipped from an outside vendor. Granted, during the Thanksgiving week. Either way, during our busiest season (Thanksgiving- New Years) I purposely work a lot more hours to insure the person who the product is for has something to open up on Christmas morning, even those insanely late requests for people who are willing to pay for 2-day shipping to Florida...crazy expensive...though, how do you wrap a set of Double Cab Long Bed weld on sliders? Any how, family or not business is business and WEEK's later not to have an open line of communication with a tangible response, doesn't work for me. Maybe I just get uber excited about something new for the 4Runner and gotta have it now. So with that said, I am glad things that you've ordered from him have come in a timely manner but those who've had issues were allowed to chime in...and I did. Now, I'm off my

Sorry for the TJ...please for give me. Maybe, if you and I put our heads together we can come up with a solution on fabbing up some PU mounts for the engine?? Buy a block of the PU and cut and drill then weld up some plates to make it work? I've never researched em' but maybe throw a link to what they look like and I'll let you know if it's doable? AHH heck, I'll check real quick and see what I can find.

Again, sorry for the TJ.
