Nice Truck my man!
Love the youTube vid as well.
I drive a 1993 Surf over in South Wales, Uk.
I am in the process of doing the body a little with 3.5" oversize arches covering !2"x15" White weller steels. They are wearing BFG's 35-12.50x15's A/T's.
It has a 3" body and 3" suspention lift.
Once its done, will put all my pics together and make a thread!

That TG bumper you have is vertualy the exact style that I have just had made for my boy.

Look forward to seeing more vids on Youtube!

If you get time, check out Elite4x4.co.uk.
We are a good bunch of guys and Gals.

The exhaust was a big hit to the bank account soooo I will concentrate more on the Legacy now. Its a new member to the family and needs some tlc for sure! Very excited for this build....garage bay is empty, clean and awaiting arrival of the next patient...

I guess I have 2 projects now....we all know that no matter what I say I will never stop moding the rig lol

I baaarrrlley fit....the clips on the roof rack net hit the top of the garage...I just go slow and careful but it does go In.

What do you think about a full size spare on the roof rack...I've heard some horror stories but my roof rack is not mounted the same as stock.

Well, lots toss em up there..... I think it makes sense in getting it out of the way... but IT IS a bit of a 'tugger' from side to side. Since you have a Steel Roof, UNLIKE ME, lol... I think it would be fine depending on how you mount it.. BUT, forget about getting in the garage after that(I'm assuming you'll toss it up there for trips, only? BUT, ... hmmm, might need a spare round town, too, right? .....HMmmmmmmmm) I even saw one mounted over the back window on a swing up thing the guy rigged up to his 2nd Gen like yours. Most common is on the back, of course... See those carriers all the time in the yards... Just don't want to mount one cuz I'd have to mangle my rig(and they can sheer if not done JUST right/Like Original on the second gens).

Wont fit underneath, right?(32's I know will... but 33/12.50's?)

Well the 31 was bulky enough under there so that's out of the question. I would like a rear bumper with a swing out tire carrier in the future but I think the roof rack will have to do for now. Well once I get this suby on the road..(I'm almst there...the build thread is moving along nicely) the truck will not be cruisin around town anymore...only on dirt!

I still need to buy another 33" and 15" rim

Ahhh, finding the 33 shouldn't be hard.. Neither should a 15" rim be. (HINT, HINT... >> HIT THE PICK-YOUR-PART.... THOUSANDS of them there! LOL) Seriously... I would grab an Aluminum Toy rim like mine(15x7 or 15x8 4 spoke standard SR5 rim... They're MUCH lighter than steelies and would lighten the load on the rack, ya feel me?)

Far as the carrier... AGAIN, PICK-YOUR-PART! Seriously, AZsSYRIAN(hehe), .... I see them there ALL the time. The Second Gen TOYOTA ones have always seemed to be in good shape(especially the 93-94-95 ones, ya know?) .........AND, it would say Toyota on it! lol. No, but really, they're SOLID and would put the tire RIGHT where it's best for license placement, etc. AND, probably around 50$ at P.U.Part!

That's a good idea on using a stock rim much lighter and easier on the rack. I actually had a stock carrier I was going to throw on but like u I didn't want to cut into the body! Plus idk if I trust the stock carrier with a 33" bouncing around on a long trail.

Yep, they're very light.. My outlaw 2's are even lighter, but they usually want like 50-75$ each for em on CL(in good shape without tons of rash, lol)....

Far as the carrier, .. I'm almost CERTAIN I've seen a thread where guys beefed them up to fit up to 35's. AND, doesn't your truck come equipped with all the braces and everything in there for 'adding' the carrier? I would look into that... might be a specific way to bolt them into existing weld-nuts that are behind the corners. AND, that is something that you'd likely leave on for good. The only other way is to get one that's mounted on one of those ..."Can't remember the name" bumpers that RBX and couple others have. Those carriers are on the bumper... But new they're 600$, assembled,.... 450$/weld yourself... And not sure that's even with the carrier? And they're pretty heavy? I've seen guys put in 1st Gen roll bars and mount carriers to the roll bar, mounting the tire/wheel standing/fixed to the roll bar with mounting hardware? (I'm sure you want the space... but if you DON'T need every square inch for your gear, then maybe you could just pull it when you 'get there' and mount it on top on the cage once you get out there????? Just some thoughts. Those roll bars go for around 40-60$ most often, with the roll pad.

PS> 33x12.50's? Hmmmm, I might want at least an 8" rim for that. Maybe 9". My 32's look great and aren't bubbled out on 8"... 12.50's are another inch wider though.... BUT, maybe you could find an aluminum Chevy 8-10" rim and bore out the center to fit the Toy?(if they don't work as is?) Dime a dozen at the yards and CHEAP! (Aluminum rims there are like 25-40$, I think).

If they're 33x10.50's... THEN GOLDEN with the stock SR5 rim like my own. PS> Don't you have one that was on your rig, originally, anyhow? (or did ya sell em?)

When I did the herculiner I removed all the panels and did not see any mounting brackets on the inside. The 1st gven roll bar is a cool idea but idk about space issues. I think id like to save up for a nice swing out carrier on a bumper that matches the trail gear bumper up front. Roof rack till then I think. I'm running 33x10.50 so I'm good.

Why not do this(saving lots) and ADD portions of the carrier from a 2nd Gen?....>>> http://4xinnovations.com/p-RB1H.html
