Update 2/23/15
So if you guys did not read this last week, we have the truck project entered into a spot in the World of Wheels show this Friday through Sunday.
I was very surprised that we were able to get the truck in as they had no spots left. But, I sent a ton of photos from the beginning until now to the director and he said that he wants us there.
Rewind to last week. While we were waiting to hear on the World of Wheels, we were in the process of pulling ans swapping the Cab and engine harness. What a PITA it is!!!

Laid them out for a quick Comparison. Since we are swapping all the components over, it wasnt that big of a deal on connectors. We are basically changing the entire truck wiring from 84 to an 88.

I really have no desire to do that again. The feelings mutual with the students that have been helping.
Once we found out that we made a spot in the W O W, and after staring at the OD green for weeks, we changed our mind. We are going to paint the cab the original color of the 88 parts truck.

I got the paint from the D&R Paint supply thats on the same street as our school. I have a good working relationship with the manager, so he gives us GREAT deals.

Hoping the get the cab fully primered today and sanded down for paint in the morning or late this afternoon.
We are scrambling to get stuff in order for the show this weekend.
I will update more later.

Awesome work! I really like the new color, is that the same color you were painting your 4runner? Truck looks super sharp, I always liked those style wheels on our body style trucks! Congrats again on making it into WOW, you guys deserve it!

The color is slightly lighter than my 4runner. I also thought it was the same initially until it went on and came out lighter. I really like the lighter gray.
Thanks for the constant support and positive comments. It has been a challenging ride until this point but, I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
There is a ton or blood, sweat, and tears in this build with the students. I am really proud of them for getting it to this point and not giving up.
We have to load it up on the trailer today and have it at the convention center at 2pm today. I will update the thread with more photos later today as I can take them.
Thanks guys!

Truck keeps looking better and for the kids to see one go thru this kind of a build should really show them all the different systems and components that make one run. You guys are doing good and then the WOW show should be a big boost for them. Man!!! I wish I my school would of had something like this when I was in.

Update 2/26/15
Finally got everything together and loaded up for the Show. Had to finish installing a new window regulator and put the glass back in the drivers side.
I wanted to be able to lock up the truck while its at the show. Not that its going to matter. Not like there is anything to steal.
Here is a poster board I made with the kids names on it and some progress pictures.

All cleaned up.

All loaded up
