im sure they do hmmm look in to the metric eqivulant i dont know what size it would convert over to but im sure someone on here could tell ya like a 305/50/r15 or something

 

Whats a nice tire to go on one of these? It has stock 215/75/15s, and they look way to small. I want something that looks beefier, but isnt too thick since I wont have a lift or anything on it. 235/75/15s? Would those look a significant amount different?

 

I just put a 5 inch lift on my 92 Ifs 22re pickup, and put 36"X13.00 R16 super swamper TSL's on it, there not rubbing height or width wise but im goin alot slower and i was wondering if thats to big of a tire for my stock gears and stock suspension? like am i guna bust a CV joint or a U joint or am i guna blow my axles or what? and if something is guna break with that biga tire what should i do to prevent it?

quick question, i know 33s will fit but how wide untill they rub? i got 1988 ifs no lift.

 

pretty sure a 33x10.50 with the right backspacing wont rub

 

Why does every one want to move up from a 31 to a 33. Does that 2in make a whole lot of difference?

 

I have a 99 sr5 with Toyo AT 265/75 R16's and no lift. I have not had any rubs or scuffs at all. I have not disconnected my sway bars and tried it but I really like my set-up because I am not changing any factory angles, keeping my center of gravity as low as possible, and its cheap. I wheeled all weekend with a bunch of Rubicons and could go anywhere they went. The only weakness I have right now is my approach angle sucks going into vertical surfaces but a lift isn't going to help that. PS I would buy the Toyo AT's agian- they haven't worn well.

 

1" extra drivetrain clearance can make the diffrence if you get high centered or not or smack a differential into rocks etc. when off-roading every inch counts. Especially when airing down tires. In this case load rating of 33" vs 31" might come into play as well but I personally haven't research the difference in ratings between the two.

 

true. i just want some one to tell me not to get 33s, so i can stop wanting(more like obsessing) some hot 33x10.50x15s

I went with 31's...the stock size...been very happy so far:

 

I could fit 33's stock and withe the LC coils I'm stuffing 35's once I get the BJ spacers she'll be sitting much nicer.

I have ran 12.50's on stock rims for years.. I actually prefer this set up to a 10" wide wheel. tire wear is not exaggerated and the possibility of breaking a bead when aired down is reduced considerably.. plus I think 12.5" wide tires on a 10" wide rim looks funny..

 

Lumpy, the ride so far is much better than the 235's. I am wanting some rancho 5000 shocks for it...as for the sag, that picture shows some sag but there were 4 tires in it at the time so a little extra weight back there.

 

Will I notice a huge difference in the snow between a 31x10.5 and a 32x11.5?

im thinking of moving up a bit but idk..

i also found a guy selling a set of almost new 31' bfg mud terrains for 500 obo.. was thinking of possibly just lowballing him.. though i dont really need a mud tire...

 

Okay guys I have read just about every post on this thread and I still can't find what I am looking for. Everyone seems to have later model 4runners and I know the suspension systems are different...I have a 2002 4runner SR5 with stock 15" rims and a stock lift. Right now I am running 31 X 10.5 R15's with no fitment issues whatsoever, but I want to go bigger. I am looking at getting a Revtek 3" suspension lift. Does anyone know the biggest tires I can run with and without the lift?

From what I have read it seems like 33X10.5 R15 might fit without a lift, is this true?
Would I be able to go up to 35X10.5 R15's with a lift or are 33's the biggest I can go?
Will 33X12.5's fit with the lift?

The 33's will be fine.

As for the 35's, they'll probably fit, though its tough to tell. Keep in mind that the only thing you will find in a 35x10.5 is a bias ply tire, something from Interco likely, so be prepared for the characteristics of that tire: flat spots in the cold, road noise, etc...

 

Okay well I think the 35's are definitely out, I want to stick to something like the T/A KO's or the Wrangler DuraTrac.

Any ideas on the 33X10.5R15's fitting without a lift?
Any ideas on the 33X12.5R15's fitting with a lift?
*Keep in mind I would like to keep my stock 15" rims

 

will 285/75R16s fit on my stock landcruiser's rims? stock tire size is 275/70R16

 

When I got my 91 4wd pickup dlx, it came with 4runner 3 spoke alloys 16 inch rims wrapped with brandy new Toyo Open Country M/T 265/75 r16's.

My spare is a 15" steel rim and a much smaller tire, and the tire is no longer useable, even as a spare, its thrashed.

Ideally, I'd like to find a 265/75 r15 Toyo Open Country M/T used that I could just throw on there. The only local tire shop that carries Toyo locally is Les Schwab. I'll call tomorrow to see if that 15" size even exists and how much it is new. I'm guessing way more than I want to pay.

I'm not sure it make any sense at all to buy a fifth 16" alloy just to stuff it in my spare holder...but I'm sure I can find one on Craigslist or at Nix99 etc.
Unless one of you NW guys happens to have an extra

I guess I'll know better tomorrow when I call Les...any feedback is surely appreciated.
