is there supposed to become sort of sleeve inside this carrier bearing? The axle doesn't even touch it there are some metal deposits stuck to the axel but the bearing looks good but like I said it it doesn't touch the bearing at all..has 3/8 of verticle movement. This all started with a horrible vibration in fromt at 55 and worsened when touched the brakes... Once slowed down it went away..didn't do it every time, about every third time I get up to speed...all u joints are good, front bearings are a little loose it seems both sides are same. I can fix it just not sure hpw much play is supposed to be there..with front bearing to for that matter. What is broken on YOUR Toyota-image.jpg

The only thing I would do in the snow is wheel bearings and breaks. I have seen tires leave the car when wheel bearings seized. And for breaks in the snow when I'm trying to fix broken thingz I just put new rotors and calipers on. After install I get a 1/2 rack and a friend to bleed them. The beer helps me ignore the cold.

Hey guys I haven't figured how to work this whole forum thing.. But I have an 88 yota with 22re the truck starts but it's running on 2 cylinders the plugs and wires are good, has plenty of fire. But the cold start injector has it's wires cut and I don't know where they are suppose to go, but if I touch a hot wire to the cold start injector the motor picks the two dead cylinders up and runs fine but of coarse if I held the wires on it it would flood out can anybody tell me what my problem is?

You might want to post this question in the newbie section. This sections is not looked at as much. More than likely someone in the newbie section will be able to give you a wiring diagram. Also jump your diagnostic ports and see what codes it is throwing. Good luck.

WELL IM NEE TO TOYOTAS and working on vehicles period. I bought a 94 pickup. 22re. LOVE THE TRUCK! Last night I was riding in the woods while hunting. Got to a little mudhole I put in second gear gas on it. The truck made it through the mud hole but then stalled out and wouldn't start back up. I TOOK THE DISTIBUTOR OFF AND NOTICED THERE WAS COPPER AND WHITE FRINGE LIKE MATERIAL ALL TWISTED UP. Truck is still not running. But will turn over. Anybody have any ideas what the copper and white fringe like material is? WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO GET THIS BAD BOY BACK RUNNING!!

Start by either cleaning the cap and rotor or since its new to you. If you can spend the money just put a tune up on it. Cap plugs and rotor. Avoid Bosch. Use denso if you can afford it and ngk if on a tight budget. Welcome to yotatech. And keep us posted.

I'm thinking I need to change the whole distributor since the copper and white "wire/fringe" was wrapped all around the rotor on the inside

Mystery involving antifreeze bubbling out of the radiator cap with or without the heater on. Temperature Gage not working either.
